(Warning for: light discussions of horror)
(Disclaimer: I've never watched any of the Stephen King movies referenced in this story, and I'm not a fan of horror myself, meaning the conversation taking place about that won't be very accurate. Mostly it will be based on what I know from pop culture and from deep dives into Wikipedia pages due to curiosity.)

"What, is, up everybody?" Thomas greeted the camera. He was clapping his hands together, and didn't stop for a long time. "I can't stop clapping. Guess I better head to the 1920s and call myself a clapper." He joked. Thomas stopped clapping then, and burst into laughter. His hands rested on his knees as he leaned forward, took a deep breath, then stood up straight again. Or, stand up gay again, since he wasn't the slightest bit strait.

"Anyways. As you know, I'm a huge fan of horror books, movies, plays, whatever. Horror can be a pretty intense genre, and it definitely isn't for everyone. I just have personally developed a connection with it. I guess... Something about the unique perspectives on every day things and the creative ideas behind the monsters and villains in these movies, plus the determination of the heroes that pushes them through these struggles... I guess the traumas in horror stories help give me something to connect to due to my own traumas, and it's interesting to put that trauma into a more imaginative setting." Thomas began. "In this video, I'm going to be reviewing different movies based on books by the brilliant Stephen King."

"Did someone say Stephen King?" Remus cheered as he rose in his usual space by the lamp.
"Do you guys always have to interrupt my video blogs?" Thomas complained.
"What? I'm a horror fan. Shouldn't I be allowed to be part of reviewing it?" Remus persuaded.
"Fine, I guess." Thomas sighed.
"Oh! Can I help?" Patton gasped, popping up suddenly by the staircase.
Both Thomas and Remus jumped, and Remus screamed loudly before they both turned to Patton.
"What the hell are you doing here!? Don't you know it's rude to interrupt a video blog?" Remus huffed.

While Thomas rolled his eyes, Patton looked at Remus in hurt confusion.
"But I'm a fan of horror too. Can't I be part of this?" Patton pleaded.
"You? A fan of horror?" Remus snorted. He gestured to Patton by rotating two fingers, then pointing them at a Patton. "No offence, Depression, but you're softer than marshmallow fluff. Surely you can't be serious." Remus denied.
"Mhmm! I mean... Thomas watches horror a lot, so now I'm desensitized to all the stuff I don't like... Like the jump scares, the blood, the gore, the psychological stuff, character deaths, and whatever else. I just enjoy the more lighthearted and playful parts of each movie and try to put my own spin on it!" Patton explained.

"Horror? Lighthearted? Ha! Give me a break." Remus cackled.
"Yeah, Depression, I don't know about that one." Thomas agreed.
"Some of it can be... Especially the Stephen King books." Patton murmured.
"You can't be serious." Remus huffed,
"I am though!" Patton insisted.
"Interesting..." Thomas murmured ignoring the bickering. "So you think there's some kind of lighthearted and/or playful theme in each Stephen King story that can be enjoyed by its viewers?" Thomas questioned.
"Mhmm!" Patton hummed in cheerful conformation.

"Okay, how about this then. I'm going to list different Stephen King movies, and you two can each take turns describing the movies in your own words. Does that sound good?" Thomas asked with a spark of intrigue in his eyes.
"Challenge accepted." Remus accepted. He spit into his hand then offered it to Patton.
Patton chuckled nervously, and scrunched up his face with an apologetic smile. "Uh... Sure! But I'm not doing that." He agreed. The last part was said under his breath as he pointed timidly at Remus.

"Alright. Let's start with a classic. The Shining." Thomas began.
"A delusional writer suffering writer's block stays at a hotel that probably has a gas leak or some shit going on. Also a bunch of serial killers are staying there and want to kill him and his son. He ends up going bat shit crazy." Remus described.
"A bunch of children and adults with unresolved trauma stay at a hotel and keep each other company." Patton described.
