AMALIE was super nervous waiting for jacob at the cinema. she really didn't want to mess this up. whether or not they would be involved romantically, she still shouldn't fuck it up because they would be working together for 30 days straight.
amalie told herself that she will try her hardest not to be romantically involved with him, at least during the filming of the movie. but boy was she wrong.
her thoughts were interrupted when the man she was just thinking about comes to her view.
"amalie! hey! how are you? it's so good to see you again!" he says with his australian accent amalie loved so much. "hey! i've been good! how about you?" she responds with a smile. "i've been well! come on let's go inside and pick a movie."
"hm they have a few different options, it's hard to choose it's all such good movies." amalie says conflicted. "yeah i agree with you, it's difficult." jacob responds. "what about gilda?" "oh that's it!"
the two went inside the movie theater with popcorns in hand, big slushies and different types of sweets. once they finally found their seats which was pretty far from the screen to avoid other people seeing them. although, there weren't many people in the movie theater with them so they were both thankful for that.
"is this your first time seeing gilda?" jacob asks. "nope! i've watched it once a few years ago, what about you?" "my third time watching it. but it's the kind of movie that you can never get tired of watching you know? i could watch it a hundred times and i would still love it the same as the first time i watched it." jacob says with admiration.
as jacob was explaining to amalie why he loved gilda, amalie was listening intently on what he was saying. the way he said particular words, the way he understands cinema and acting, his admiration with the craft is something amalie thought was very special. if this was a cartoon, amalie would have hearts coming out of her eyes.
the pair were talking so much during the movie that an old man behind them told them to shush because they were talking too much that he couldn't hear the movie anymore. jacob and amalie became embarrassed after that and tried to keep their voices low until the end of the movie.
"the old man wouldn't stop looking at us the whole time! even when we kept our voices down!" jacob says laughing. " i know!" amalie responds with a giggle.
they threw all of their trash as they came out of the movie theater, both silently dreading saying goodbye.
"i can walk you to your car? if you want." jacob suggests. "oh thank you. i had a great time today jacob, you're really great company."
"why thank you, you aren't so bad yourself miss amalie." he responds cheekily. the two continue to giggle amongst themselves until they arrived at where amalie's car was parked.
