Sirius's POV

BANG BANG BANG!!!

I wake up to loud pounding on my door and wonder who that could be at this hour. Oh wait I know, it's my brilliant prude of a mother just waiting for an excuse to curse me out of this house.

"SIRIUS ORION BLACK"

"IF YOU DON'T GET UP THIS INSTANT, THERE WILL BE SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES FOR YOU"

"GET DOWN HERE NOW", Walburga screeches.

I look over at my watch and see that I have a total of five minutes to get ready before we have to leave to catch the train, so I finally decide it's time to roll out of bed. My beauty sleep is very much needed and I hate interrupting that, but duty calls. I decided on wearing something a bit more rebellious, according to the Noble House of Black's standards, and put a shirt with a muggle band on it, called Queen. My parents absolutely loathe me when I associate myself with anything or anyone muggle, but I do it just to piss them off.

I have to say I am so glad that this summer is over. There's been lots of talk between the families about this new so-called "dark lord" rising to power and it's been a bit worrying but after all it is my last year which means I'm so much closer to getting out of this shithole. As I walk down stairs, I notice that my whole family is already by the door waiting for me and that Regulus carries a slightly worried look.

"Took you long enough. Any minute later you would've run us a chance of missing the train.", My father states.

"Oh please we're fine", I say dramatized.

Sticking a wand directly to my throat, my father demands in a firm tone, "You will not disrespect me like this again. Next time you will be met with the cruciatus curse. Do you understand?"

"Yes."

The cruciatus curse has been used on me more times than I can count. Always for being disrespectful, sarcastic, or hanging out with the wrong people; the list can go on. I can handle it but it doesn't mean it's enjoyable. It happens to Regulus too, a little less now though. I used to take the blame for him but he's become a momma's boy type of prick so I no longer feel the need to.

After about ten thousand years of standing around in our yard, we finally decide to apparate to the train station. A wave of relief fills my body, knowing that all I have to do left is say goodbye to my parents. It's usually the same old stuff like 'don't talk to mudbloods or blood traitors', 'stay away from that Potter boy he's no good', 'you should start associating yourself with the slytherin boys, they are very respectable young men like your brother', oh and can't forget the 'you should be more like your brother' part.

I turn to them and start saying my goodbyes but quickly hear the train start to move and its whistle blow. I am instantly filled with panic and realize I only have about 10 seconds to rush and get on the train. I immediately start sprinting towards it, not paying any attention to the others around me or to even bother finishing talking to my parents. I hear them curse my name under their breath and I rush off but oh well it be what it be. As I am running towards the train, I trip over a raised piece of stone and almost faceplant but gracefully pick myself up, as one does, and continue on my short journey.

I made it onto the train just before it started gaining true speed and frantically looked around for the boys. While rushing around I ended up bumping into the sweet filled trolley and falling with the snacks crashing down on top of me. For a moment there it took a second to realize what had just happened, but as I opened my eyes and saw the trolley witch glaring at me, I knew I had to run for it before she tried to murder me.

"My apologies Miss. I'll be sure to buy many treats later." I slowly start backing away.

"Hey, is that a new sweater because Merlin do you look absolutely breathtaking." I blabber out as I send her a flirtatious wink and sprint away.

Next thing I know, I see the boys in a compartment and rush in panting. I dramatically fall into the seat next to Moony and lay down onto his lap with my hand covering my face.

"Are you serious?" James shouted humorously

"I'm always Sirius" I retorted back.

Man that joke never gets old.

Remus's POV

My steps quickened as I saw the wall that separated platforms 9 and 10 approaching in the distance. I couldn't help but smile when I remembered who was waiting for me on the other side. I finally reached the wall, took a deep breath, then ran straight into it.

Instead of colliding headfirst, I was transported into Platform 9 ¾. I looked around at the familiar place. The bright red train spewing steam sat on the tracks. There were kids adorned in robes saying goodbye to their families, owls flapped their wings in their cages, and people pushing past me to reunite with the friends they hadn't seen all summer.

I boarded the train and kept an eye out for my friends. I had longed to see them all summer, particularly Sirius. I hate to admit this, but there were some days that I was unable to think of anything besides Sirius. I pushed this thought aside and continued down the alley of the train.

"Remus!" I heard a familiar voice call out my name. I looked ahead and saw James and Peter sitting together in one of the train cars. I hurried over and joined them in the car.

"How are you Moony?" James exclaimed as he went in for a hug. "I missed you buddy!" I smiled and embraced James. I was about to answer his question and exchange pleasantries of my own when a loud crash came from the back of the train.

James and I looked at each other and smiled. "Sirius," we said in unison. We looked out of the window in the train compartment to see Sirius sprinting in the aisle. He had a determined look on his face as quickly apologized for knocking over the cart that held the delicious treats. We backed away from the compartment door and sat down as Sirius crashed in gasping for breath. He dramatically sat in the seat next to me and fell backwards as if he was fainting. He landed with his head on my lap and his arm over his face.

"Are you serious?" James yelled sarcastically in response to Sirius' dramatic entrance.

"I'm always Sirius," Sirius responded.

I found myself laughing at their stupid jokes, realizing just how much I had missed them over the summer. I also forced myself to not fixate on the fact that Sirius was on top of me. It was taking everything I had not to start blushing.

Sirius sat up and sighed exasperatedly then smiled.

I wanted this moment to last forever. I was filled with joy in being reunited with my friends once again. The Marauders' final year at Hogwarts. This will be fun!

Unfortunately, my watch started beeping indicating that it was time for the Prefect meeting. I said my goodbyes and walked to the back of the train where the meeting was taking place.
