Vampire AU
Tw blood

No matter how hard Wilbur tried, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was constantly being watched.

It started three months ago. At first it was only while he was in public. The night he noticed it, he was walking home from Tommy's house at maybe two or three in the morning. Everywhere he looked he couldn't see anyone. The streets were abandoned.

After that it just became more and more. At work. With the band. Public transport. Uber. Eating out. At home. Eating in. Sleeping. The only time he felt safe was when he was using the bathroom, thankfully. But not when he was showering.

The shower is what used to be his safe space. The place he'd go before bed to tire himself out and then clean himself up. Well... Usually only his arm got exhausted and his mind calm after the high... But he considered that tired enough.

But now, whenever he enters his sanctuary, he feels like he's being watched. At first he felt very violated, but later he decided he was being paranoid and just kept going with his nightly routines.

Then something new started happening. The same man with raven-black hair, a fucking gorgeous body, short build, and the most beautiful brown eyes you could ever imagine started appearing fucking everywhere.

He was the barista one day at Wilbur's favorite coffee shop. The next day he was the new custodial dude at the recording studio. After that, he was everywhere in the crowds. Every time Wilbur turned his head while walking through the semi-crowded streets, there he was in all his beauty.

Wilbur was at the library one day. It was a strange day because he felt like he wasn't being watched until he got to the library.

He was searching the mythology section, looking for a book his twin suggested to him when someone barreled into his back. Wilbur kind of caught himself on the bookshelf, but inevitably fell with the other. Wilbur rolled over and was met with absolutely gorgeous brown eyes. Looking at them now, Wilbur thought of soil. But not any soil. The soil the first flower of spring blumes from. He thought of tea with a little bit of milk and honey, sweet and warm. Chocolate passed through his mind, but not the hard candy bars. He was thinking more of a lava cake, smoothe and warm on the inside. Wilbur could stare into these hickory brown eyes.

"I'm sorry," the man apologized, but didn't get off of Wilbur.

"It's alright," Wilbur blinked at him. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," the man smiled softly, studying Wilbur's face. "Are you?"

Wilbur nodded. "How did you even fall?"

"I'm hungry," the man shrugged and sat up.

"Why don't you go eat?" Wilbur sat up and dusted himself off.

"Don't have anyone to eat with," there was something mischievous about the man's look. "I don't like eating alone."

"Well- I'll join you," Wilbur stood up, but the hickory-eyed man stayed on his knees, looking up at Wilbur through his lashes.

Some blood rushed to the last place Wilbur wanted it to go, but he tried desperately to ignore it. The man... He was so absolutely gorgeous. This position was doing him justice. Fuck...

"Uhm," Wilbur's voice cracked. "You need to stand up..."

The man smiled and stood up. 'Sorry. I'm not the best with social cues. They change too much for me to keep track."

Wilbur gave him a strange look. "Alright uhm... Where do you want to go? What are you in the mood for?"

"Steak," the man said flatly.
