Soot covered Quackity's ears and hummed Mine / Yours to him so he can't hear what's going on outside the door. The Brit listened to everything, though, so he could know when Karl and Sapnap head to the bathroom and it's safe to open the closet door.
Quackity quickly started packing, making sure to grab anything he needed. He took off the promise ring Karl had given him. It meant nothing to Karl, but to Quackity it was almost as good as an engagement ring. He set it on Karl's nightstand. That promise was broken a long time ago.
He zipped up his bookbag and took Soot's hand, then they slipped out like they were never there in the first place.
They took a train to the edge of the city and took an Uber from there. The two of them headed out to farm house that was surprisingly only twenty minutes away from NYC.
They got out and went inside, immediately being greeted by a mutant of some sort. A man who stood seven feet tall with long pink hair, tusks sticking out of his mouth, and pointy elf ears. He was dressed like a prince and decorated with jewelry that covered his hair, ears, neck, chest, wrists, and hands. His skin was pale, yet pink. He wasn't an animal, nor was he human. Like... Some kind of partially mutated mutant from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- Quackity's head hurt thinking about it.
"Alex! Brother! Hello!" Soot greeted.
"Seriously?" the man looked at Quackity. "In front of a stranger?"
"Quackity isn't a stranger, don't be silly," Soot laughed.
"Oh, so you introduce him with, as Spiderman put it, his 'made up name,' but I get my identity revealed at the first meeting?" Alex raised an unimpressed brow at his brother.
"Well- I don't know what other name to call him-" Soot admitted shamefully.
Alex hummed. 'Well, Will-i-am, why is he here?"
"He's on our side," Soot smiled. "And he knows our precious hero's secret identities, their families, their relations... He's like our personal little spy."
"Pog," the man sighed. "Call me Technoblade, Quackity. I don't ever use my real name. Techno or Tech work, too. Never call me Alex."
He flicked Soot's forehead, earning a laugh from Quackity.
"Nice to meet you, Techno,' Quackity smiled happily. He could very easily get used to this.
Soot took Quackity's hand again and lead him to the kitchen. "I'm gonna make us a snack before bed." he kissed Quackity's forehead and got to work making brownies.
Quackity watched and talked with him as he baked, and then another man came in.
He was older with medium length blonde hair and a green robe on. He looked human... Except for the large black wings coming out of his back. Quackity thought of him as the evil version of Falcon.
"Who are you?" the man asked tiredly, looking straight at Quackity.
"Dad," Wilbur called the man's attention. "That's the man I've been telling you about. His name is Quackity."
"Ah," the blonde man smiled. Quackity is sure he's never seen a more friendly smile in his entire life. He's starting to doubt the "villains" are really the bad guys. "This is the man you've been obsessing over for months. Is he finally your boyfriend?"
Wilbur blushed deeply. "I'm not sure yet. We haven't talked."
The man laughed and turned to Quackity. "Well, Quackity, it's nice to meet you. You're welcome to stay here as long as you'd like. Oh- my name's Philza, by the way."
