Vicky's POV

"I can't find anything's to wear to this stupid party." I groaned falling onto my bed. Cami followed behind me.

"You have a whole closet just choose something and let's go." She whined.

"But I have to find a good dress to impress Wes."

"Girl you're his girlfriend he's gonna love anything you wear." I laughed knowing she's right so I worse a pink sunflower dress.

"Are you ready?" She asked me and I nodded my head.

...

"I can't find him." I said as I searched around for Wes.

"I see him!!" Cami yelled out.

"Where!!" When I looked to where she was pointing I realized she was talking about Kieran with Jace right next to him. I scoffed continuing looking for Wes.

"Vicky wassup." I looked over to see Kieran greeting me. He's always been kind to me and I'm civil to him since he's dating Cami.

"Hey Kieran."

I looked at Jace to see him already looking at me.

"What do you want creep?" I asked him and he just turned away and walked off.

"What's up with him?" Cami asked Kieran and he gave her an awkward look.

"I'm gonna go look for Wes." I said as I walked off.

...

"Oh sh*t!!" I heard someone yell from behind a shed. I walked behind the shed to see the most horrific sight. Jace was punching Wes while a topless girl screaming. I ran and pushed Jace off of him.

"WHAT THE F**K ARE YOU DOING!?!" I yelled at Jace as I cupped Wes's face in my hands. Jace looked furious he was red but also sad.

"He..."

"WHAT HUH?!"

I looked at the girl who was screaming running away.

"Your smart V just put it together." He walked away defeated.

"Oh my god baby are you ok??" I asked him sobbing.

"Yeah babe i don't know he just started attacking me."

"What about that girl Wes? Why was she topless?" I asked him cautiously. He instantly got furious.

"What are you asking me?!" He instantly sat up and I got scared. But I wasn't gonna let him hurt me.

"Were you cheating on me Wes!?" I yelled at him and he got up.

"YOU WH*RE, ACCUSING ME WHEN YOURE F**KING ALLEN!!" He yelled at me shocking me.

"YOU A**HOLE!!" I got up and try to walk off.

[TW PHYSICAL ABUSE]

He grabbed my arm and slammed me against the shed. The searing pain shot through my body as I winced. I felt the blood run down my back and the tightness of his grip on my arms.

"GET OFF ME!!" I yelled hoping someone would hear me. I felt tears welling up in my eyes scared of what was going to happen.

"SHUT UP YOU SL*T." He shouted at me. I was scared I couldn't let this happen to me. I need to survive this.

"HELPPPPPP!!!" I yelled

SMACK!!!

Did he punch me? I opened my eyes to see Jace attacking Wes again. I was sobbing but for the first time in my life thankful to see him.

"Thank god!!" I sobbed as I fell to the sand. He stopped and looked at me. He looked angry and sad and disappointed. Not in me but in himself.

"V, I'm so sorry I shouldn't have left you with him." He apologized coming to his knees reaching my level. I hugged him it wasn't his fault. He saved me.

"Thank you Jace I'm glad you came back." I sobbed into his shoulder.

"Let's get you home V." He picked me up in his arms and carried me to his car. The whole time I never stopped hugging him. I needed to feel safe.

Jace's POV

I was terrified when I found her. I left her there with that monster. I should've stayed with her. She sat there in the passenger seat staring g out the window. She looked destroyed.

"V?" I looked at her for a second. She looked at me with her blue eyes shining in the moonlight.

"I owe you everything Jace." She stumbled over her words. I stopped in front of her house. She had tears running down her face. She leaned over the center console. Her face got closer to me when she hugged me.

"Stay with me Jace?"
