Jace's POV

[this chapter touches on sensitive topics of miscarriage]

I woke up from the blinding sunlight. I looked down to see her in my bed. She looked so peaceful. It's been 3 months since the night at the beach and it's the happiest I've ever been. I moved a loose strand of hair away from her face. Our parents were happy when we told them and Jade and Jaden. But not Kylie, V told me that Kylie had a crush on me. I always felt awkward around her but I never knew she had feelings for me. I couldn't care less to be honest I was happy with the woman I love. I planted a kiss on V's head.

"Why are you staring at me while I sleep?" She scared the sh*t out of me when she said that.

"F**k V." She giggled as she sat up. I sat up to follow her and instantly attacked her with a kiss. She laughed against my lips.

"You're so cute." I laughed as she wrapped her arms around my neck. This woman makes me so happy.

CRASH!!

We heard a crash from downstairs and I put a shirt on and she put shorts on then we ran downstairs to the kitchen.

"VERSE NOT NOW ITS TO SOON!! I heard Aunt Nicole yelling as we entered the kitchen I saw my mom passed out on the floor.

"What happened!!" I yelled as I ran and fell to the floor.

"She passed out!" Aunt Nicole kept sobbing as I yelled at Vicky to call 911. After 30 minutes the ambulance came and I rode all the way to the hospital. When we got to the ER they immediately took me away from her. I sat down in the waiting room. I couldn't stop thinking what happened.

"Hey kiddo." I looked up to see Uncle Kyle with Asher and Aunt Nicole. Vicky came from behind the instantly into my arms sobbing.

"D-do any of you know what happened?" I asked any of them searching for answers. They all looked at me guilt stricken across their faces.

"Y-your mom had cancer Jace." I looked at Uncle Kyle he has to be joking right? My mom would tell me she had cancer wouldn't she? A tear dropped down my face.

"Family for Verse Allen?" I heard a doctor ask for my mom. I instantly got up with Vicky's hand in mine.

"That's me." I looked at the doctor's face. She looked cold but sympathetic.

"I'm sorry Mr. Allen we tried everything but we could t revive Mrs. Allen." I heard the sobs of Aunt Nicole and Vicky squeezed my hand.

"I'm sorry." The doctor said as she walked off.

"D-did you know.?" I looked at Vicky and her face was stained by tears.

"Jace y-your mom she." I scoffed the woman I loved knew my mom was dying and didn't even tell me. I let go of her hand instantly and backed up.

"How long?" I asked her in disbelief.

"Jace." Kyle said as he tried to touch my shoulder. I pushed him off.

"T-the night at the beach." She stumbled on her words and I couldn't beleive it. I wiped my eyes as I retreated away from her. I walked out of the hospital and I could hear her calling out for me behind me.

"JACE I LOVE YOU." She shouted out making me stop in my tracks.

"If you loved me you would've told me." I spat at her as I walked off. I couldn't stand to be around her right now.

Vicky's POV

Tears fell down my face as he walked away from me. I knew the moment we saw her in the kitchen I had to face the music. I broke down, how could I do this to him. I got a sharp pain as I fell down to ground I looked on the ground and saw blood. I cried out for help as people came around me to help. But the pain was to much and I passed out.

"Vicky baby?"

Mom?

I opened my eyes to see my mom and Jade around me I was in a hospital bed.

"What happened?" I asked them the last thing I remembered was Jace walking away from me. My mom started sobbing as she grabbed my hand.

"Baby you miscarried."

Miscarried?

I broke down into tears. Jade climbed into the bed with me and hold me as I cried out. Not only did the love of my life walk out on me I lost a part of our love.

"W-where is he?" I asked them for Jace and my mom looked sad.

"Vicky. We had Jaden to go over to their house to check on Jace and he noticed nobody was there but a bunch of Jace's clothes were gone."

"He's gone?" My mom nodded.

That asshole.
