I was sat around the fire on the island. It was getting pretty late. I didn't have much to do so i was just looking in random directions. When i looked behind me I saw Jack helping Sawyer to camp.

I quickly jumped to my feet and ran over when i could tell Sawyer was injured.
"Sawyer!" I ran over, "What the hell happened?"
"Some idiot shot me," Sawyer groaned in pain as Jack took him to a log.
"I said i was sorry," Jack sighed.

"It hurts like hell," Sawyer clenched his teeth as we sat him down, "Thanks."
"When i saw you being supported by Jack i honestly worried something worse would happen," I told him as Jack walked off to get a first aid kit.
"Ive been through worse," He admitted.

"Thank god you're okay," I instinctively went to stroke his cheek but pulled my hand away.
"What was that?" Sawyer looked at me confused and a little surprised.
"Sorry... i just naturally thought it would be  a comforting thing," I explained my behaviour.

"You thought touching my face would be a comforting thing?" He questioned.
"Well yeah. It usually is for me," I nodded.
"So you have a thing for me huh?" Sawyer but his lip.
"What? No," I lied and blushed.
"Sure seems like you do," He looked slightly amused.

Jack started to walk back to us.
"Okay. How about we focus on my leg rather than you trying to make a pass at me," Sawyer suggested.
"Sure. Ye! Sorry," I sat in front of him and watched as Jack sorted his leg.

Sawyer was showing a lot of pain as he clenched his eyes shut while he was lying back. I was worried and i didnt want him to be in pain, but i tried not to show it to much, as i watched Jack taking the bullet out and bandaging Sawyers right leg.
"Okay! All sorted," Jack told Sawyer.

"Great," Sawyer opened his eyes and tried to get up but fell.
"Shit!" I quickly caught him before his head would hit the log.
"Damn leg!" Sawyer complained.
"You need rest," I laid him back down and got his head comfortably resting against the log.

Sawyer relaxes as much as he can.
"There we go," I smile.
Jack walks off and i ask Sawyer, "Is there anything I can get for you?"
"Water?" He looked at me.
"Yeah of course. I'll be right back," I walked away.

I went so our food and water supply and got him a fresh bottle of water.
"Got it," I returned to him
I helped Sawyer to sit up to drink. Once he was finished, he put the lid back on and laid back down again.
"Thanks," He brushed his hair out of his face.
"You're welcome," I smiled at him even if I didn't get a smile back.

"Idea. Do you want me to ransack your tent to find you a book to read?" I joked cause i knew he didnt really like people going into his makeshift tent.
"You want to rummage around in my tent?" Sawyer looked up at me and I could have sworn i saw a slight smile.
"Do you want me to find you a book to read?" I rephrased my question, "Thats in your tent."
Sawyer looked like he was thinking about it, "Yeah."
"Okay I'll be right back," I stood up and went to his tent.

I was surprised that Sawyer was allowing me to go into his tent. He was quite defensive about it. Did he possibly truly trust me?
Sawyer had hoarded all the books and we had to ask permission to read a book and then bring it back. It was like a library.
I picked out The Great Gatsby and my favourite book, Things We Never Got Over.

"Okay!" I walked back over and held the two books in front of Sawyer, "The Great Gatsby or a romance with some smut?"
"The Great Gatsby," He held put his hand.
"You're missing out," I handed him the book he desired to read and then sat down next to him, "This smutty romance book is actually my favourite."
"Well smutty romances aren't really my thing," Sawyer admitted.
"Fair enough," I shrugged and laid down and Sawyer started reading my book.

A part of me was sad that he didn't want to  read Things We Never Got Over because i think he's quite similar to the male lead and i wanted to see what he thought of him.

After a while of us both reading in silence, i speak up, "Sawyer?"
"Yes?" He glanced over at me.
"You let me go in your tent? You don't let anyone near your tent," I point out.
"You're not just anyone," He told me.

I blushed and there was no way of hiding it at this point.
"So you do have a thing for me," Sawyer raised his eyebrows.
He knew and I may as well just admit it, "Yes... i do."
"I was right," He grinned.

I looked away a bit embarrassed. Sawyer put his book down, and made me face him. His hand was on my cheek and he stroked it.
"You said you liked that?" Sawyer looked deeply into my eyes.
"Y-yes," I got all flustered.
My heart was beating so unbelievably fast.

Sawyer pulled me closer and pressed his lips firmly against mine. I held his neck kissing back.
