"Warning! Joint integrity critical" the voice in my helmet said as everything slowed, knowing that with the pull of that trigger, he could probably shoot straight through my visor. Adrenaline pulsed through me as my anxiety transformed into anger.

For a fraction of a second, I let go of the door letting it rest on my shoulders, and with one smooth movement, I batted the gun from my face with one arm while using the other to break his footing before pulling him halfway through the doorway and then rose got up on my feet.

The door landed right on his abdomen crushing several of his vital organs. I looked through the small circular window on the door to see Trezz leaping over a pile of crates towards the warden before she gracefully slid her sword through the top of his left shoulder, piercing through his collarbone to his lower abdomen, the very tip of the blade was just visible.

"Suit power 5%" the suit reminded me. I was not gonna leave her alone. I stood back and balled my fist, lunging it at the glass. It cracked just enough that I felt confident enough to pick up my rifle and shoot through the glass. I watched a Guard, this one with a weapon I hadn't seen before run out ready to shoot at Trezz as she was pulling the sword from the warden. I took several shots at the guard but not before he took a shot at Trezz

The room was lit with a bright white light for almost a second. Trezz flicked her sword around in the nick of time to block the projectile, casting sparks around her. She turned to the left and pulled her pistol on a guard that was too close to the wall for me to see before she tapped something on the panel.

"Suit power 3%" The suit reminded me once again. The suit's pestering was really starting to annoy me.

The door raised slower than I would have liked it to. And impatient I attempted to once again lift the door with my arms before finally having enough room to crouch through when I was shot at. The clanking of bullets hitting titanium plating ranged throughout the room. I ducked behind another set of crates and started to shoot back at the attacker who seemed to be the last one in the area.

"Suit power critical." The voice in my suit warned unenthusiastically.

"I know! Shut the heck up!" I shouted back at the suit.

"Lazlo! Power terminal! Over there!" Trezz shouted pointing to a panel on the other side of the room. I tried to swiftly get up but was immediately brought down by the weight of the suit. It seems the power had completely been depleted. I got up again struggling to hold my balance. I tried to travel to the panel as fast as I could with a mixture of skipping, limping, and marching.

I threw open the panel door to find a mess of cables and wires connecting up the machinery. I then reached up to the collar of my chest plate and pulled it open. Within the front plating were two jump cables made for situations on the battlefield just like this. I knew I was vulnerable and felt rushed, shuffling through the many wires trying to find a negative and positive node to clamp the cables onto.

I extended my wrist blade in panic and began to cut through a thick cable connected to the largest piece of machinery in the room. From there I hastily peeled away the two wires within the cable. More guards began to arrive and I ducked down just as they began to take fire.

"Crap! I hope this works!" I said getting ready to clamp onto the two severed wires. I let go of the clamps and pulled the pistol from my side aimlessly shooting toward the 4 guards gathered behind a large piece of machinery. The recoil was much more intense now that my suit could not assist with it.

"Go! You are all free! Go! Go! Exit is that way" Trezz shouted from behind my back. She must have disabled the Inmate's slave implants. One inmate stood up from behind some crates next to me pulling the C-shaped wireless shackle from his neck and dropping it. He still had what looked like an outlet crudely implanted into the back of his neck. I stared at him as he ran towards the biggest door that led to a wide staircase. Before he left he gave me a look that said "Thanks".
