Sleeping on the couch

After fiddling with the keys for what seemed like hours in the cold, Johnnie finally managed to get the door open before entering the house. He debated for a moment on whether or not to leave Jake on the couch close by or make the extra effort to put him to bed. Before he could even finish his thought he heard the sound of his very drunk best friend...
"Johnnnnnniiie..... Johnnienie I- ugh I need to puke.."
"You already did dipshit, I'm not changing your shirt for you either. You can sleep on the couch I'm too tired to carry you."
"....hUh?.."
Johnnie struggles a few more feet before reaching the couch and gently laying Jake down, careful not to hit him on the small coffee table, and straining his back in the process
Johnnie-
Jesus Christ that hurt like a b*tch, I'll go grab a bucket and blankets..
As Johnnie quietly sneaks away to fetch his things he feels jakes hand reach out
"Johnnieeee..?" Jakes voice was shakey and tired,
"What's up? Do you still need to puke, because I'm getting a bucket anyway"
"Noo.." his voice turned into an almost sad and desperate whine
"Johnnieee thankzzzz fuurrr ya know uhh" Jake couldn't finish his sentence before his hand fell to the floor and his snoring began.
"It's ok Jake, goodnight .. uh I love you"
Johnnie knew that Jake wouldn't remember the moment so he quickly sunk down and left a small kiss on jakes forehead before going to finally retrieve the blankets and bucket, and heading to his own bedroom.

Tonight was f*cking wonderful..
My best friend kissed me at his girlfriends party, then she drove us home for free because no one else was sober and I don't have a damn license, then I had to drag him inside, kissed him again and told I him I loved him??
Dear god I really am crazy.. it probably meant nothing to him. But.. but why do I kind of wish that he'd do it again..?
