But when he awoke, he was not on top of Kel.

Sunny wasn't even wearing the letterman jacket or teared up shirt. He was wearing track shorts and an Inu-Yasha t-shirt. He sat up and looked over at the small mirror on his wall, seeing the empty eye socket he was used to, and his messy black hair from sleeping. He put on his eyepatch and went downstairs, seeing the sunlight stream through the blinds as the house lay silent and empty. He went back upstairs and changed, before going outside and getting on his bike. He rode to Kel's house, parking it and then knocking on the door. Kel's mother answered with a smile.

"Ah, hello Sunny! Pleasure seeing you! It's early, though, no?"

Sunny nodded.

"Hi...um...may I see Kel?"

She nodded and yelled inside.

"Kelsey! Sunny is here!"

Footsteps and then Sunny watched Kel emerge from upstairs and yawn. His hair was in a messy bun and he wore shorts and a tank top. He blinked before smiling at Sunny.

"Hey. What's up?"

"Come on, we need to go."

"Go?"

"I need to gather everyone."

Kel nodded and grabbed his jacket, bidding goodbye to his mother before he watched Sunny get on his bike as he ran beside him.

"Why are we doing this?"

"We just need everyone. i gotta talk. Hero's still at college?"

"Yeah..."

"Okay. Call him."

Kel seemed confused, but nodded.

Everyone sat in Sunny's living room, most tired from being woken at this hour. Kel called Hero on video, and then Sunny let out a breath.

"So...I had a nightmare."

Aubrey crossed her arms, "Really? You called us because of a nightmare?"

Basil gently quieted her and Sunny continued.

"It felt...real. We were in class, and then the purge sounded, and then it was some sort of..."

Kel perked up, "Apocalypse?"

Everyone fell silent before Sunny nodded. Then, Aubrey spoke, her fingers between her eyes.

"And...and we were traveling around...and we were in school..."

Basil sat up.

"And we had to leave! And we found..."

Hero spoke through the phone.

"...Mari."

They all fell silent and Kel looked at the phone.

"And you died."

Hero nodded, "That's when I woke up. I couldn't sleep the rest of the night."

They all looked around before Aubrey sighed.

"Let me get this straight- we all shared a dream despite Hero at college and all of us in different houses?"

Sunny shrugged and looked at Kel.

"But like...in the dream..."

Kel looked back and his eyes went wide, before he looked away. Aubrey remembered and squinted.

"So, what was that exactly?"

Basil tilted his head.

"What?"

Aubrey looked at him.

"During the dream, while we were still in the school, guess who i walked in on making out?"

Kel put his hands up defensively,

"Hey, hey, Aubs--"

Hero began chuckling through the phone.

"This is crazy. Not only did we share a dream, but it was about an apocalypse, and Kel and SUnny were dating? Haha! Someone could write a book about this! I'd read it!"

Kel cleared his throat and spoke softly.

"Hero...um...we...are dating."

Hero stopped and stared, before squealing and rolling backwards in his chair. Sunny took this as a good reaction, as Kel sighed with relief.

That night, Kel stayed at Sunny's, as the two watched a zombie movie. Kel sighed as he stretched, sneaking an arm around Sunny.

"Aaaaaah, this seems dumb after we've 'lived' it."

Sunny nodded and leaned against Kel, yawning softly. He hadn't even put his eyepatch on. He didn't care anymore. He knew Kel didn't care. Kel leaned against him as well and then flicked off the movie, looking at Sunny, who lay against him, his eye closed. Kel smiled and hugged him, falling asleep. Believe it or not, they didn't dream about zombies that night.

Damn, this took a while to finish. (sorry for the anticlimactic ending)

But I'm finally done.

Believe it or not, this is only my second finished story on wattpad. 

Now, I will be posting character designs, monster designs, and other info on this book as well, but that'll have to wait.

For now, i need a break.

I'll be working on Tucoy (The upbeat color of you) since there are already 4 published chapters and i might post a new story 🤫
