"Jin, you have to come; it will be nice." Said Ji-yeon, trying to convince Jin to spend a night gaming with her in her house.
"What about your roommate?"
"My roommate will visit her family this weekend, and the house will be ours. Come, please. It's an important game, and I want you by my side."
"I will disturb you, and you said it's important."
"Jin, are you free on Saturday night?"
"Yes, I am."
"So be it. You will come. I'll text you the address. You can bring your favorite drink."
"Ji-yeon..."
"I'm not listening to your reclamations anymore. Saturday, you'll be my partner in crime."
Jin couldn't escape her. It was already summer, and he was delaying their encounter with each other. And now she wanted him to spend the night gaming in her house. A strategy game in which she had the right of a helper, and she chose him. He didn't want to be pessimistic, but she had a significant probability of losing with him as partner. It was a phase of a local competition in which she was participating.
"Saturday, I'll visit my army." He said in the rehearsal. "We are going to play together at her house. It's an official competition game. I'm anxious."
"You'll be fine." Said Jung Kook. "You are a good player."
"I think you have nothing to fear." Said Suga. "Relax."
The others were okay, with no comments and no advice; Jimin, V, and Namjoon could only advise him to take condoms, but maybe it could frighten him and betray their weekend secrets, so they just agreed with Suga and JK.
As expected, the week passed quickly, and Saturday night was coming soon. He would meet her at 6 o'clock for a briefing, and the game would start at 7 o'clock.
"Hi. Welcome. Come in, please." She received him at the gate. She wore sweatpants and a sleeveless cropped, and her hair was down.
"Hi." Said Jin, astonished by her beauty; sometimes, they play just with their avatars, or at other times, the room is so dark they barely can see each other that he had forgotten her impact on him.
The house was lovely; the other girl was a teacher, and the bookshelf in the living room couldn't be more full of books.
"It's everything of Hae-won?"
"No, I read too, Jin. But I must confess that less than half of it is mine."
"Calm down. I know you read, and I was testing you."
"OK, most of the things I read are related to games. Look here at the entire collection of The Witcher. The books are amazing. Come, we have much to catch up on about the game."
They went to her room. She had a double bed on the corner, a wardrobe with a big mirror on the sliding door, and a gamer wall on the other side: just three big screens and many professional accessories. The air conditioning was cooling off the machines; she asked if the temperature was good for him. She had two different, very comfortable chairs.
"You can choose yours. I love both."
"Why two?"
"When I get tired of one, I use the other; I need to care for my body; long hours playing are uncomfortable."
"I want the red one." Said him, sitting and adjusting the chair.
They talked a lot about the story of the game, the details, and the technical specifications. She said they could take turns. It was allowed, but he needed to show himself; it was a rule; as a helper, he could be only an avatar. He'd like to participate too much but couldn't expose himself like that; it wouldn't be a good idea.
