After what seemed like an entire day's worth of rest, I let out a groan as I sat up from the bed. A loud yawn left my lips as I stretched my arms as high up as possible. As I did this, I heard someone giggle not far off from me. Opening my eyes, I was met with a beautiful woman with short green hair and baggy eyes wearing nothing but bandages around her crotch and chest areas. My eyes widened both from embarrassment and shock as I recognised the woman's face. She was the famous horror author Sen Takatsuki!
Mutasim: S-Sen Takatsuki?!
Sen: Good morning Mr Lycan. Did you sleep well?

Mutasim: Y-Yeah, but what are you doing wearing nothing?!
Sen: Well, I'm not wearing "nothing". Unless you want to see these bandages come off? ~
She said with a bite of her lower lip. My cheeks burnt up and I immediately lowered my gaze.
Mutasim: I-I'm not saying that!
She just giggled and ruffled my hair with a big smile on her face.
Sen: Aww! You're just too cute and such an easy tease! I can see why you're in a sweet relationship with that Ghoul.
Mutasim: You saw me with her?!
Sen: Oh Mutasim. I've been keeping an eye on you for a long, LONG time. I know nearly everything there is to know about you. I know that you support Ghouls and see them as survivors struggling to live in a world where they're loathed. I know that you have aspirations to be a hero and join Union Academy. And I also know that you've been suffering after the loss of your late friend Izuki. My sincerest apologies about that.
I nod slowly, acknowledging what she's said and learnt about me. But there was one thing I was confused about.
Mutasim: But why keep an eye on me?
She sat down beside me and crossed her legs.
Sen: A lot of reasons. The main one being I wanted to make sure you didn't rat out any Ghouls. While I don't care much for the Ghouls of Anteiku, Ayato is actually considerate of his sister, who you happen to be dating.
Mutasim: So it's as I thought. I was thinking he and Touka looked familiar.
Sen: Yeah. But he doesn't quite know you two are dating so I'd keep that bit quiet. He's known for a short temper and his hate of humans.
Mutasim: Thanks for the heads-up Ms Takatsuki.
Sen: Oh please! Drop the formalities. Sen is fine. Anyway, I'm glad to see that my worries were simply just me overthinking. And since you're willing to keep the Ghouls' identities secret, I feel I have to repay you in some way. So I've called in a favour.
Mutasim: A favour?
Sen: Just someone who owes me for some work they handed over. No offence, but with no powers, you won't exactly last in the hero business. So this favour that I called in is actually just a mentor for you and they'll help you get stronger.
