Remember her letter
So solemn, so empty
A letter written in quill and ink
I recall reading it so vividly.Together we could have been
But she's lost in time
We could have been so different
We could have been
TogetherAt long last the sky has cleared
Muddy foot prints along my walls
Exterior walls coated in thick slush
The snow has begun to melt
But the footprints remainRosemary wrote it not so long ago
She's gone now though
Lost to the sands stuck beneath its hourglass vessel
Glass walls trap her now
She must return though to clean my wallsWhat we could have been
If only the morning came faster
Beneath snow you were not so long ago
Blizzard over head
Piles appear like dunes of the desert
Your letter trapped there trapped behind
The glass of the windshieldGraphite dust left there to smear
It was too late
I'm sorry
It was too late.
I'll reread it come autumn.-Axel
