[3rd Person POV]
Shinobu: "Sanemi carry Y/N"
As they got out of the cave if it was either out of good luck or just Shinobu's instinct to follow a path she felt was correct.
Sanemi: "This bastard can walk on his own!"
Shinobu: "We need to head back to the nearest housing place before the sun comes out"
Susamaru: "I should go ahead, Y/N's fine so I should tell his siblings he's okay!"
Kaigaku still was in silence as he stared at nothing. The pond was gone now all that remained of it what was within the pond. All those fish were going to die if they couldn't find any water, it'll be sad to see those fish to die. He felt pity for that it made him rethink his own pitiful life.
His mind once clear of negative and positive thoughts, were the things that surrounded his entire mind. Where did he stand between the scale of good and bad? Was he just in the doorsteps of hell already? Did the heavens above already hate him for what he did? Should he go back to the Demon Slayer Corps? If he stayed here with the fish he'll be like them waiting for his death because that's all he could do.
The fishes accepted that because they stopped flopping around the wet dirt that stained their eyes and beautiful scales. There was only one fish that still flopped around, it seemed this one wanted to live. It did whatever it needed to but there was no water for strive in, though it didn't seem the end. Kaigaku walks up to it and picks up the fish before placing it in a small puddle of water.
It'll survive for a few more minutes, looking back at the group they're seemed to be thinking of a plan as the night sky was long it gave them time to think at least for a bit. Susamaru announced she'll go back as quick as she can to give a message to Nezuko who will be the one to understand. She was long gone so now the Hashiras started to talk of what route to take back that avoided the sun as much as possible.
While they did that Kaigaku started to make a basket that can hold up water, then he place the fish in later.
Collecting sticks and vines he started to form it but was getting frustrated as he his one hand was not enough. He threw a stick far away as possible until he heard a drip. Walking towards the direction of the thrown stick he sees a larger body of water it also seemed deep enough, so he placed the fish in it.
He then laid on the muddy dirt looming up at the stars, he tried to regain his focus on building a basket. Though his mind would not let him as the darkness within the sky only made him reflect his sins.
He was ignorant of them, his past that haunts him.
Y/N: "Can I join you?"
A star stood out particularly from the rest, one of Y/N's glass horns seemed to shine under the moon's reflecting light.
Kaigaku: "Sure"
He did the same as Kaigaku now both were covered in dirt but they didn't mind it, at least they felt warm. Winds so strong that if you were unprepared for the cold breeze you may freeze up.
Y/N: "I'm Y/N Kamado"
Kaigaku: "I know"
Y/N: "I left behind my siblings Tanjiro and Nezuko"
