Arrival

[3rd Person POV]

The rest of the journey was silent, not a word slipped from anyone, most were worried at the depressed demon that stared up at the sky before down the ground. He didn't listen to a word they said, he ended up being carried over Sanemi's back since he kept hitting into trees.

Not a hint of pain if he did find himself hurting, he was hiding so well Shinobu at one point got mad and started to yell at him to cry or scream. Still he kept that same facial expression only making her mad even more.

Koi

He promised he wouldn't be so sad, or be mad that she's gone. That he's moving past those of the past so he can better focus onto the future, on himself.

Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry

Repeating the sentence over and over until he arrived home though it felt home didn't feel like home. There wasn't a flying bird that flew over his head to make sure he's alright.

The night crept upon them as branches that brushed against their clothing, the night sky gave no guidance only their senses of home and direction.

Kaigaku: "What's that?"

Pointing towards a small light in the distance it was luck Kaigaku had caught the sight of light. It could have been ignored and Shinobu wouldn't be able to say: Butterfly Mansion.

A soft knock one recognized too well immediately opened by Kanao who had a soft smile but inside was holding her tears. She never did find need to cry, it wasn't important as the care she had but Shinobu was gone for awhile, Tanjiro hardly ate but still kept to be as bright as sunshine, Nezuko silked like a newborn only wanting mother to hold her. Just sad.

Immediately hugging Shinobu finding it shocking the young female hugged despite knowing she was the one who hugged her. There was no coin flip either instead she went for it. Tanjiro went to door and found the Y/N over Sanemi's shoulder, it reminded him of the time Nezuko did the same when he didn't wanna get up and take his medicine.

Tanjiro: "Y/N"

Looking up it wasn't Koi but those eyes despite being a bright pink it was filled of worry and warmth, maybe Koi knew he was going to be alright with his big family.

Jumping towards him hugging him, it was only then Tanjiro knew of Y/N's tall figure. He seemed to have grown, as his head was onto his big brothers chest as he patted his head. Nezuko came out to see Y/N there silently crying, she ran towards him hugging her two brothers.

Koinatsu: "Y/N?"

Sweet voice, smell of fresh air, a bright kimono with a design of falling feathers and leaves. Her soft smile with bright eyes made her look pretty, he felt so sad now.

Koinatsu: "Koi wants to let you she loves you, she sent me because she wanted you to feel so whole, feel connected, to feel love despite her being gone"

Had the room gone quiet? Why can he only hear her words, not see the eyes on him and her?

Koinatsu: "It sounds painful to hear over and over but you must really know, to be loved. She isn't truly gone as long as you remember"

Pulling away from Tanjiro and Nezuko to let Koinatsu hug him, let him cry into her chest staining her kimono. She didn't mind, as long Y/N didn't keep it hidden away for so long letting it build to something terrible.
