[3rd Person POV]
Shinobu stares at the boy as he stares out into the field of flowers, not a single word slipped from him. He was as silent and still as a ragdoll was. The rest were finishing their chores before they left this evening to head back home.
He only touched the side of his forehead where the mark was, his skin was rough but where the mark was it felt as silky soft as Koi. . .
Koi's final present to him, he felt so sad now. His friend long gone, he couldn't even giver her a proper goodbye or burial. It felt unfair but that's life nothing could have done.
He didn't wanna talk, scream out just silently cry alone where no one can see him. From a distance he looked as he was a bear but just a demon wrapped in thick layers of clothing.
Waking up or he thought, he was surrounded by swirls of colors that drifted as wave currents. Light colors below his feet, it was cold. The clouds painted a bright white, in shapes of animals it almost was a fairy tale.
Koi: "Y/N"
Looking down, he cradled a small little bird with her skull showing off. What made her one of a kind, what he himself found loving about his dear friend.
Hugging her close to his chest as she did with her wings.
Koi: "I wanted to give a big hug where my wings touched each other"
She spoke a low tone as to save enrgy before she spoke one more time.
Koi: "But I'm not human to do that or a big bird to have large wings"
Staring up at Y/N who smiled brightly at his friend.
Koi: "You got my gift"
Speaking of the mark that was in a pattern of feathers, she couldn't bare to say the last few things before she left him behind.
Koi: "My departing gift"
Y/N: "What?"
Koi: "I'm leaving Y/N, to be teborn into something new. Maybe a bird but maybe a human?"
Y/N: "Your dying?"
Desperate to find her, hold her close to his chest not for her to go away anymore then she was now.
Koi: "I'm already dead, I've passed away"
If she could smile she would to bring at least a small amount of comfort.
Koi: "Y/N, my beautiful boy"
Starting to cry as he felt the words become so heavy that he fell to his knees. He shouldn't cry because your suppose to be strong in moments like this but. . .he could hear his mother's voice from Koi.
He cried, cry, cry me a
River
Staring up at Koi who now was. . .a human?
She was a tall woman who had her arms wrapped around him, her hair was long it tangled with his own hair as it fell down. Her eyes were a light gray you could confuse her with a blind person. A kimono to big for her when it dances within the wind it became a cape.
Koi: "Bye Y/N"
Y/N: "Don't go my beautiful bird, please don't go"
Bells started to ring high above the clouds, soft echos of voices that singed. It was calling for departure, final goodbyes have arrived.
Koi: "Don't forget me"
It was a dream right? No koi didn't lie, this was the truth this was truly the end of the road they went together.
Y/N: "Goodbye Koi"
