He notices her and looks at her, as if she's the queen. He watches her, his eyes lighting up, his smile becomes evident. His heart starts to race, as he stares at her, her chocolate brown hair blew gently in the wind, her laugh even though it was distant was like a melody he wished he could play on repeat forever in his brain.
He grew up hating her, yet whenever he looked at her his cheeks felt warm. The only thing Charles could do was admire her from afar. She was his sun. If she was happy, smiling or laughing his whole day was determined.
What ElleCee Jane Elizabeth Vettel didn't know about Charles is that if he set his mind to something there isn't anyone or anything that could stop him from achieving it. Charles had decided the second he laid eyes on her all those years ago, she was going to be his. He was going to be the one to hold her at her worst and at her best. He was sure of that. He would cherish her even if she didn't reciprocate his strong emotions for her.
Charles didn't care when he saw Carlos next to her, holding her. He knew sooner than later that that would be him and anyways he knew or, so he thought that their relationship was only platonic. He could see Carlos loved her, she was so blinded by his kindness to realise. He knew and was sure everyone could that she didn't feel anything of that romantic sort for him.
He was absolutely positive. Well it was obvious, if their friendship was more than just a friendship, why was Charles wearing her promise ring? It didn't matter that he took it from her and she didn't give it to him, yet again he was so blindly in love with her it didn't matter to him. He was just happy knowing her ring was in his possession. He knew her ring was on his neck, close to his heart, yet he wanted ElleCee to be closer to his heart. He wanted her to become his heart. His will to live.
In that moment nothing mattered. He ignored his interviewer, yet the interviewer continued to ask him questions. All he could do was stare as he carefully picked the ring up on his necklace kissing the dazzling sapphire gem delicately, before placing it back next to his heart, which was beating so quickly some might have believed he was having a heart attack. Although, Charles wasn't having a heart attack. No, definitely not. Charles was having a different kind of attack. He was having a love attack. He was trying his hardest to battle away her gorgeous smile and her deep blue eyes.
Charles had an urge to win at everything, but he had chosen to let his heart be engulfed by her. Now every time it would beat quicker it wouldn't be the adrenaline, he didn't care for that kind of thing. It would be her, her long locks, her smile that could make his heart race for more than a mile, her pure pools of blue that shimmered in the sun, her rosy cheeks that her smile would invade into. He didn't care what would happen, she would be his.
Because, the heart wants what it wants.
