*ElleCee's view*

I woke up slowly, as I got up, memories from last night began to seep back to me. I noticed once I had gotten out of bed that I was still wearing the same clothes from last night. My makeup was smudged and my hair looked like a bird's nest.

I made my way to the shower hopping inside and turning the water on. My dress was laying on the toilet seat. I started to remember last night more vividly, Lando sitting at my table. Charles and I got stuck in the elevator. I massaged the shampoo into my scalp. I noticed that my ring was gone? It wasn't any ring, it was the same ring I had worn for 9 years. My dad had given it to me for my thirteenth birthday.

It was silver, with a small sapphire gem right at it's heart. It was supposed to be a promise ring, for when I eventually find someone I want to spend my life with. Only then am I supposed to take it off, but it was gone!

I carefully left the shower after I had washed the conditioner out of my hair. I quickly blow dried it. I checked the time, it was 8:27am. I needed to be at the paddock for half ten. I set my hair into a messy bun and I changed into a pretty jade tennis skort and a white cropped vest top with my Aston Martin hat. After the Grand Prix, I had made plans to go play some tennis at the hotel courts. I made my makeup subtle, yet you could still tell it was there. I took my hair out of the bun, as I decided to keep it down.

I walked out of the hotel, the immediate heat hitting me as I got into my Uber.  After about ten minutes my Uber pulled up to the paddock, as I tipped the driver and got out. I walked towards Aston Martin trying to avoid the groups of fans looking for drivers to sign their merchandise.

My mind kept wandering back to the ring. I would have searched everywhere for it all over again. I adored that ring so much.

I soon reached Aston Martin. I said a few hellos to some of my dads engineers, before finding him and giving him a hug.

"Hi dad!" I greeted him.

"Ah, Hello Jammy! Did you sleep well?" He asked looking at the faint sleep bags under my eyes from where my concealer hadn't covered the rings fully.

"I slept alright, I suppose I just couldn't get comfy" I answered sort of truthfully. Soon after, dad got called away for a meeting so I decided to go see Carlos.

I reached the garage, as I noticed quite a few mechanics looking at me surprised. Has something happened?

I walked through the crowd towards Carlos' drivers room. I didn't knock on his door because when have I ever?

As I peered through the door I saw Carlos, his head stuck in his hands. I sat down next to him.

"What's wrong Carlos?" I was confused. I had spoken to him last night whilst I was getting ready for dinner, he was fine then.

"There's nothing wrong with me, where's your ring?" He mumbled. As if he already knew the answer.

"I lost it somewhere last night. I'm going to try to find it later. Can you help me?"  I requested nonchalantly.

"Sure, come with me for a walk around the track? I want to get away from this garage. Everyone is so stressed it's making me stressed as well." I nodded, hugging him tightly.

As we walked the track it was almost nostalgic, we used to do this a lot when we were younger. His arm wrapped itself around my shoulder tightly as if he was shielding me from the world itself.
