7 : Hurting

Blake's POV

It has been three weeks since me and Brooks agreed to just be friends. I was really happy when she agreed to stay friends. I did not want to lose her. She was mainly my only friend at school and she is too good to not have at least as a friend.

Things between us were weird at first. Both of us did not know how to be alone together without some awkwardness but after the first day it was back to usual. Her cocky jokes and my playful banter. Her friends have also all forgiven me. I guess Brooks talked to them. They have slowly accepted me into their friend group.

I thought that Brooks was the only one like her in town, which is partially true, but all her friends are funny and pretty out there like her. I see why they have been best friends since elementary school.

"Okay Blake, which one would you pick?"

"Yeah I don't know what you are talking about" I reply to Theo as I sit down for lunch.

"Would you rather take a razor scooter to the ankle or a soccer ball to the..." Theo stops and turns to Brooks and Nolan. "Wait, yeah wrong question to ask you" Brooks and Nolan laugh at Theo.

"Can't believe it took you that long. You were seriously going to ask her" Nolan continues to laugh.

"Ask her what?" Robyn asks as her and Noel join us.

"He was asking me a would you rather but didn't finish"

"Well because it doesn't apply to you"

"What was it?" Noel asks.

"He was going to ask if you would rather take a razor scooter to the ankle or a soccer ball to the dick" Brooks laughs.

"Why would you ask Blake that?" Robyn questions with confusion.

"I asked Nolan and Brooks, but I forgot"

"What forgot that Blake doesn't have a dick?" Noel laughs.

"Yes" Theo answers.

"Well if I did have one I think I would take the razor scooter to the ankle" I reply.

"That is the correct answer" Nolan tells me.

"No it's not" Theo argues. "I say soccer ball"

"I will gladly kick a soccer ball at your dick to prove you wrong" Brooks responds.

"Oh please let her do it. I need some entertainment" Noel says. "Also remember that Brooks is the one that takes the penalty kicks for the team"

"Yeah um I don't want to prove it" Theo replies, making us all laugh.

"What's so funny" we all turn to see it is Luke.

"Nothing" Brooks answers. Her smile quickly gone as well as everyone else's.

"Okay, whatever. Blake me and my friends are eating out in the courtyard"

"Okay" I smile and turn back to my food.

"Are you coming?" Luke replies.

"Oh, um, I wasn't planning to" I hear as everyone laughs softly except for Luke. "Did you want me to eat with you?"

"No, it's fine. I'll see you later" he leaves angrily. That was awkward. Luke doesn't usually get mad over me eating lunch without him. He has been acting really weird lately. Ever since I started to hangout with Brooks and her friends he has been clingy. Wanting to spend every moment together when we are at school.

I understand that he is my boyfriend but he didn't act like this before. He has never really been possessive. We both have gone out without each other many times and have spent a lot of time with our friends alone. I don't know where this is all coming from.
