last christmas, ᴡʜᴀᴍ!, 00.35
peppermint flush, mountain air,
beginning again, shortened hair.
christmas eve bonfire,
silent seraphim choir.
cousins and sisters altogether,
hearts enjoined like birds of a feather.
ninth, tenth, and fourteenth noel,
another story for us kids to tell.
my heart goes out to those who fight for their lives,
this year, my dearest wish is that they will survive.
joy to the whole world, 'tis the season,
and a happy birthday to our Lord's only Son.
