A FEW WEEKS LATER...

The days going onto weeks of Scott reluctantly training Todd Ingram felt like a chaotic blend of absurdity and desperation. In a montage that could only be described as both amusing and perplexing, Scott attempted to help Todd regain his former self. From questionable vegan recipes to workout routines, their training sessions were a spectacle of unpredictable moments.

One day, they found themselves at a local gym, where Todd insisted on showcasing his vegan-powered strength by bench-pressing an absurd number of vegetables. The spectacle attracted a mix of bemused and bewildered stares from onlookers.

Scott couldn't help but shake his head at Todd's theatrical approach to regaining his vegan powers. "Todd, are you sure this is the best way to go about it? We're getting some strange looks."

Todd, confidently lifting a bundle of celery, grinned. "No pain, no gain, Scotty! People will respect the vegan power!"

MEANWHILE..

The band grappling with their own challenges, decided to reconvene for a casual jam session. The music provided a temporary escape from the complexities of their personal lives. Knives, eager to contribute, added a fresh energy to the mix.

As the band played, tensions thawed, and laughter echoed in the rehearsal space. Neil, playing with strings on his bass, chimed in, "We might not have won TIBBS, but damn, it feels good to be back together."

Stephen nodded in agreement, "Music has a way of healing, bringing us back to what really matters."

The band continued to play, unaware of the unusual alliance forming between Scott, Todd, and Ramona. Scott juggled his efforts to assist Todd with his own introspection about the tangled web of relationships.

As the days passed, Scott's initial irritation gave way to a strange camaraderie with Todd. There were moments of genuine laughter amid the eccentric training, and a peculiar friendship seemed to be blossoming. However, Scott couldn't shake the unease, knowing that his own life was tangled in unresolved conflicts and unspoken conversations.

One evening, after a particularly intense training session involving an elaborate vegan meal preparation, Scott and Todd found themselves at the Second Cup, discussing the day's events.

Scott, stirring his coffee awkwardly, tried to shift the conversation. "So, Todd, about your progress... I think you're getting there."

Todd flexed his biceps dramatically. "Of course! Soon, I'll be the Todd Ingram that Envy fell for. She won't be able to resist!"

Back at the band's rehearsal space, Ramona couldn't help but feel the weight of the unspoken tension. She shared a knowing look with Kim, who nodded in understanding. Ramona stood up from her spot on the couch. She said, "I have a really bad feeling about something. I'll be right back."

She opened her door and skated away, snow melting behind her.

Just as Scott and Todd settled into a conversation about Todd's progress, the cafe door chimed, and Ramona entered. Her eyes, filled with a mix of concern and frustration, scanned the room and finally locked onto Scott. She approached the table, her presence adding an extra layer of tension to the air.

Ramona, crossing her arms, cut straight to the point. "Scott, we need to talk."

Scott exchanged a glance with Todd, who seemed oblivious to the underlying tension. "Um, now's not really a good time, Ramona. Can we do this maybe later?" Scott hesitated, realizing the peculiar situation he found himself in.

Todd, finally understanding the situation, coughed, "Ahem.. 'scuse me. Bathroom." Todd excused himself to use the restroom, leaving Scott and Ramona alone. The air became heavy with unspoken words and unresolved emotions.
