TIME SKIP ~ A Year Later.

Several years had passed since the events at Julie's party, and Scott Pilgrim found himself in a much different place in life.

The battles against the League of Evil Exes were now memories, and the chaotic energy that once surrounded him had settled.

One night, Scott drifted into a deep sleep, and within the realm of his subconscious, a dream unfolded. He stood in a vast, empty space, feeling an overwhelming sense of solitude.

The echoes of his past battles and relationships resonated in the void, creating an eerie yet familiar atmosphere.

As Scott wandered through the dreamworld, a profound sense of isolation enveloped him. The echoes of Gideon's taunts, the clash of swords, and the distant laughter of his friends lingered in the air. He felt as though he was reliving fragments of his past, each step weighed down by the memories.

Suddenly, the dream took a darker turn. Shadows emerged, taking the form of his defeated enemies. Gideon, the Katayanagi Twins, and the other Evil Exes materialized around him, surrounding Scott in a menacing circle. Their mocking laughter reverberated, drowning him in a sea of self-doubt.

Panic gripped Scott as he tried to fight against the encroaching darkness. He swung the Sword of Destiny, but it felt heavy and ineffective. The shadows closed in, whispering taunts and reminding him of his failures.

Scott, his voice almost out of his body, screamed.

In a moment of desperation, Scott awoke with a start, his heart pounding. The dream had felt so real, and the residual emotions lingered. He looked around the room, disoriented and breathing heavily, only to find himself not alone.

Kim sat beside him, concern etched on her face. She had been there all along, a reassuring presence in the waking world. The reality of her presence offered a stark contrast to the isolation of his dream.

"Scott, you okay?" Kim's voice cut through the lingering echoes of the dream.

Scott took a moment to collect himself, the remnants of the dream fading away. He managed a weak smile, "Y-yeah.. just a weird dream. Thought I was all alone."

Kim gave him a knowing look, "You're not alone, idiot. You haven't been for a long time."

As Scott processed the comforting truth of Kim's words, a sense of gratitude washed over him. The dream, while unsettling, served as a reminder of the strength found in the connections he had forged. The battles were over, but the bonds with his friends endured.

Scott and Kim were finally dating. Let's talk about how we ended up here.

FLASHBACK!
(Roughly a few weeks after Julie's party.)

Scott found himself in a familiar setting – The newly refurbished Second Cup, chatting with Kim. The wounds of the past had healed, and life had continued moving.

Kim, sipping her coffee, looked at Scott with a knowing smile. "You know, you've come a long way since that night at Julie's party."

Scott laughed , "Yeah? It's been a long journey, that's for sure."

Kim raised an eyebrow, "You're not still moping over Ramona, are you?"

Scott looked away embarrassed, "Ramona? I mean.. it hasn't been the same without her, I suppose. I'm learning to move on though."

Kim leaned back, "Well, I've been around to witness your epic love story drama. And in that case, I've got a question."

Scott raised an eyebrow, "Shoot."

Kim smirked, "Ever thought about giving someone else a chance?"

Scott blinked, "Someone else?"

Kim nodded, "Yeah, someone like me, for instance."

Scott's eyes widened, "Wait, are you suggesting..."

Kim interrupted, "That we could, you know, give it a shot? I mean, we've been through a lot together."

Scott breaking into a grin, "Yeah, we have. And you know what? Maybe it's about time I move on.."

FLASHBACK OVER!
(Back to the present)

Scott and Kim, now a couple, prepared for a morning brunch at the Second Cup. Having moved in together (at Kim's house of course), their lives had taken a new, more settled rhythm. They left Kim's house, enjoying the familiar routine.

As they walked towards the Second Cup, laughter and light conversation filled the air. The city streets were bustling with life, and Scott couldn't help but appreciate the normalcy that had become a part of his existence.

Approaching the Second Cup, Scott noticed a familiar door with a star on it. His expression shifted, a mixture of surprise and disbelief. "Wait.. that can't b-"

Scott and Kim stood in front of the familiar door with a star on it, contemplating the unexpected sight before them. Scott, his eyes widening, began to say, "Wait.. that can't be-" but was abruptly interrupted as the door swung open.

Out rolled Ramona, her rollerblades gliding smoothly over the pavement. However, something about her appearance had changed. A vibrant shade of deep purple adorned her hair, a striking contrast to her previous colors.

Scott's jaw dropped as he stammered, "Ramona? Is that... is that.. is that a new hair color?"

Ramona smirked, a mischievous glint in her eyes, "Surprise, Scott. Thought I'd try something different."

Kim, standing beside Scott, couldn't help but chuckle. "Well, it suits you. Very avant-garde."

Ramona winked, "Thanks, Kim. And you, Scott, seem to be doing well with Kim. Finally moved on, huh?"

Scott, still processing the unexpected encounter, managed a nod. "Y-yeah, Ramona. Life moves on, y'know?"

Ramona grinned, "Good for you, Scott. It's about time you love birds got together anyways."

The three of them exchanged a few more words, catching up on life after the chaotic events that had unfolded long ago. As they stood there, a peculiar sense of closure settled over the trio.

Ramona, with her new hair and an air of confidence, seemed content. Scott, holding Kim's hand, felt a mixture of emotions but ultimately a sense of growth and acceptance.

And so, in the glow of the morning sun, the trio decided to leave behind the ghosts of the past and embrace the present. Together, they walked towards the Second Cup, where a new chapter awaited, filled with the camaraderie of old friends and the promise of a different, yet equally adventurous, future.

Maybe a new adventure awaits?
