Brazilian festival

Chapter 3

"I already told ya little maus... I can't.. I have missions and I still gotta upgrade my turret..." killjoy said without looking at Raze her full focus on her machines infront of her. "Cmon love, even brimstone said you gotta go, that it was mandatory that you do." Raze heard killjoy groan and finally turn to her, a hard look on her face, though it didnt effect the bombs expert. "of course he did, well i have ti finish this upgrade.  and besides i stilll have missions coming up, i just cant up and leave, to either leave my team scrambling for a 3rd, or let them down."

Raze pushed off from the desk she had been leaning agasint and towards her longtime crush. "stop KJ, you wont be letting them down, nor will they be 'scrambling for a 3rd.' im already confident brimstone had found a replacement gent for the missions. and your turrent can wait a couple days, its simple upgrades yes?" "well yea bu-" "no buts Klara, there is no reason for you not to come, and besides you need to let loose. youve been stuck in hear when your not on missions. you need to get out more."

Killjoy's eyes widened slightly at the use of her real name. for being a genius she had forgotten that her and raze shared their names late one night while they were both in the commons room, both getting out of a mission and unable to sleep. they had fallen asleep to the sounds of a movie, curled up agaisnt each other for warmth as the night chill seped into the room. shaking her head out of the thought killjoy turned away and scratched lightly at her arms, a nervous tik that raze found adorable, if not alittle worring, before she finally refaced raze.

"fine.. ill go. itll be.. good to get out of the workshop for a few days.." killjoy said a smiling breaking free when her best friend gaze a loud "WOOOOOOO" in reply. she took this chance to just study raze as she talked amiantdly about what she wanted to show them, and how cool the festival would be, and found herself blushing lightly, her focus on the others lips more often than not.  

killjoy shook from her stare when raz truned to question the young  engineer. "uh.. what was the question..?" raze shook her head with a laugh. " i said you ecited to see Brazil?" "oh yea! im more interested to see your hometown though. it must be beautiful over there no?" the two started to make their way out of the workshop as raze answers. heading to the commons/ kitchen so killjoy could get something to eat and shake the thought from her head. 

when they reached the kitchen they aw a few agents already there. Viper and Cypher here sitting at a corner table talking softly. Pheonix and Jett were in another messing with each other and their giggling reaching them regardless of trying to be quiet. the two quickly grabbed their food, and when Pheonix spottted them he waved them over. "YO raze! you ready for the trip?!" "hell ya i am! i cant wait to show you guys everything!" jett laughed softly, as killjoy just shook her head at Razes loudness. "quieter little mouse, before viper starts yelling" she murmed quietly laughing when raze just stuck out her tounge. "anyway, sorry i wasnt able to join raze, it sounds like a lot of fun, but got missions coing up. " jett ssaid shaking her head.

"all good jett! hope you have fn!" "wait she misses the trip bc of missions but you pesterd me to join?!" killjoy said fake anger in her voce, breaking into smile when rAze just smirked. "you need to get out anyway killjoy, youve been in your lab all week!" killjoy just shook her head with a huff. "i was trying to fix my bots!" " ah cmon KJ oull have fn!" jett butted in before the two could start actually arguing. "who esle is heading with us?" "ah itll just be me, you, Yoru, KJ, and neon!" raze said listing off the agents n her fingers. when kj finished her food she just sat back and listened to her friends talking with a small smile. she missed little moments like this, since shes been so busy with missions and Fixing her gear, since her turrent had malfunctioned and turned on one of the other agents. they still wont forgiver her and she just learned to stay far away from the other agent when she saw them. since then she had been working hard to not make the same mistake again.

she hadnt realized that they stopped talking until Raze shook her shoulder, shaking ehr from her thoughts. when she scanned the room Pheonix and Jett were gone, as was Viper and Cypher, instead Sage and brimstone had taken the spot viper and cypher where and tlaking softly. turning her attenton to raze she could see the worry clear n her fce. "hey?KJ you good? you have steam coming out of your ears from overthinking." raze said softly tapping KJ's head softly, causing the enginner to bat her hand away with a smile. "im alright raze. when are we leaving for brazil?" Raze light up at the mention of her hometown. "we can leave tomorrow, tht way we have a few days to spend before the festivel!" Klara stood up with a nod and stretched, watching raze do the same before they walked out side by side. "sounds good, let me go pack and ill meet you at the hanger tomorrow?" rze nodded. "bright and early KJ, dont be late!" Klara nodded and raced off to her room pulling out a duffel bag and starting to pack a few clothes, her sketchpad, and extra tools just in case. she had set her beanie on the edge of the desk as soon as she walked in, and didnt see when it had fallen behind the desk as she packed her bag. putting it next to the door Killjoy plopped down at the desk and started working, hoping to get a few things donw before tomorrow morning, the beanie laying forgotten between the desk and the wall.
