Brazilian festival

Chapter 6

Raze was a nervous wreck the next day. Killjoy and Neon were out, trying to find the engineer another beanie, while Raze,Pheonix and Yoru decided to just stay inside until the festival. Raze could hardly pay attention to the bot she was fixing, her mind running through a thousand possiblities as the day progressed. Pheonix noticed that Raze wasnt acting lik her usual self so he walked over. "hey raze..? you alright?" the bomb expert in question jumped in surprse at the voice, before turning to the fire boy. "Ah hey pheonix, yea im good just.. really excited for the festival." pheonix raised a eyebrow at her, and noticing the pair, Yoru walked over. "whats going on?" pheonix turned to the blue haired rift walker. "Raze is lying and wont tell me why." he said simply, turning to face Raze again. She groaned softly as now both boys were looking at her. "okay okay.. but you need to keep this a secert okay?" they both nodded eager to know. "is this about killjoy?" Yoru said suddenly, smirking when Raze started stuttering, a light blush quickly growing. "i-i uh what..?" "is this about Killjoy? you like her dont you?" raze fumbled over her words, before just simply nodding. "ye-yea.. i was going to ask her to be my girlfriend at the festival.. but over thinking it i guess.."

"you shouldnt.." yoru said looking over the tense form of the bomb expert. "huh?" "yea.. she likes you.. alot." yoru said simply. "itll be hard to ask her if shes this upset over a beanie.." pheonix said softly, grunting when Yoru elbowed him. "what?! its just a beanie right? she can get another one!" "that beanie is special to her.. she got it from her parents before she joined Kingdom, and they.. passed." Raze said glaring at pheonix, who put his hands up. "okay okay, no need to get defensive!" he didnt know raze, though he should be careful with his words." yoru stated calmly giving the british a firm glare before turning back to Raze. "howd you know that though? as far as i know only brimstone and Sage knew.." "she uh.. she told me one night.." Raze mumbled, a blush appearing once again as she thought back to the night. they had been tinkering late into the night. Killjoy was in the corner muttering soft german curses as she tried to fix her beloved turent, the sounds of tolls being set down and parts being removed loud agaisnt the quiet atomsphere. Raze was sitting a few feet away, fiddling with her own bot, but mainly watching the engineer work. out on the feild Killjoy was a force to be reckoned with. with her arsenol of bots by her side, it was rare that any point could fall into enemy hands. on missions killjoy was as serious as they come, yelling out calls and leading her team to victory every time, though outside of missions she was known as a goofball. hanging with the other younger agents of the protcol, wathing movies or even helping them with training or a good prank. thats what made Raze fall in love with the engenieer. her fun loving personality, her laugh, smile, everything about killjoy had raze blushing often. especially when killjoy invied her to work in the germns workshop.

a sudden push shook her from her thoughts an she glared at pheonix who was smirking. "what you got lost in your head." "anyway.. whats your plan? Phoenix has a point when he said Killjoy is to distraught.." Raze pointed to the box sitting on the edge of her desk. it had yet to be opened, and just its presnece taunted the brazilian. "her beanies in there.. i had cypher break into her room and find it. gunna present it then ask.." raze said looking at the box with worry. "hm.. alright. we will try to stay out of your way when the time is right." yoru said patting raze's shoulder softly. "dont worry, she likes you just as much as you like her. you both will make a cute couple. though if you hurt her.." Rze actaully laughed softly and pushed Yoru playfully. "i wont hurt her.. shes my entire world..." yoru smiled softly then glanced up at the approching footsteps. he turned in time to see Neon and Killjoy walking back in, talking anmiatedly to each other. they had yet to notice the other agents hudled in a group until Pheonix cleared his throat. "i assume shopping went well?" killjoy nodded with a smile. "kinda? we mainly were watching the people put together the festial, they had fairylights! they were so pretty!" neon butted in gestering with her hands. Killjoy snuck away and stood beside raze witha soft smile, watching the youngest agent explain.

she pulled her gaze away from neon to look at raze, who was watching neon with a smirk. the german felt her heart flutter at the smile raze had. she looked away quickly with a bush as Raze turned her head, feeling eyes on her, and chuckled softly when the enginner looked away quickly.that night the group found themselves thrown into the party. loud music was blasting, everyone was talking and the amount of people was almost suffocating. the smell of food, sweat, and pferume/clouagne clogged the air and was suffocating with every breath. Killjoy was dancing with neon and Pheonix, woven amoung the crowd as Raze and Yoru watched from their groups chairs. 3 plates of food sat abanoded, but neither minded as they just relaxed in their seats. Raze was watching the three agents dance, particullay killjoy dancing, her face split in a wide grin. the package containng the beanie was wrapped in simple wrapping paper, was sitting in the middle of the table. initally killjoy was confused about hte package but didnt question raze other than ask "whats that?" raze quickly thought of a response to throw off the engineer which worked.

Raze was just waiting for the perfect time to drag killjoy away, which presented itself faster than expected. as the small group of agents walked back, still laughing over the high of the music, Yoru suggested that rze and killjoy take a walk.  killjoy agreed, wanting to spend some time with the bomb expert anyway, while raze just shot him a glare. Killjoy motined for Raze to follow, which she did after a second, almost forgetting to grab the package. they had walked abit, finding the calmer outskirts of the party, and a nice little bench. sitting down raze tucked the package close to her. "thanks for making me come to this Raze.. this was really fun." "im glad you were finally convinced, even though it was forced. much better than staying stuck in your la right?" killjoy scoffed and shoves raze lghtly, causing raze to just laugh in response. "oh shut up.. im gunna have to stay stuc in my lab for a few days now to finish repairs!" both of them fell into a queit comfortable silence, the music blasting behind them and party goers just walking around the pair not paying them any mind. finally raze took a breathe and turned to face killjoy slightly.

"hey KJ?" "hm?" "i have something for you.. i know youve been missing your beanie.." she handed over the package to a very confused killjoy, watching as she unwrapped it. "i also know you only ever take it off in one area so i had cypher break into your room, SOrry! but  knew it would be in there!"- killjoy shot her a glare as she ripped the tape off, though it turned into a gasp when she opened the flap and saw a very familiar green fabirc. "and had him find it and ship it to me.." killjoy took the beanie out of the box, her eyes tearing up slightly. "and there is one thing i have to ask.." raze contiuned taking a deep breathe to steel herself. she aught killjoys eye and smiled softly. "i dont want to ruin our amazing friendship.. but if does just know you are amazing, selfless, and so so strong. i hope you will feel the same.. and if not and i embrass myself then whatever but.. will you be my girlfriend?" killjoys eyes widened in surpirse at the question, though it quickly turned into a smile, "of course dummy.. your amazing, energetic and loves to blow things up.. but your still amazing and beautiful.."

before raze could respond killjoy leaned in and captured her lips in a soft kiss. raze sat eyes blown wide in shock, but as she felt killjoy pull away she kissed back, eyes closing as sparks flying as she wrapped her arms around the egnieers sides, beanie laying forgotten as the girls broke away and leaned their foreheads together, chuckling softly. raze leaned forward and pecked killjoys lips again, earning a laugh from the egnieer. "i love you.." raze whispered softly, smiling like a idiot.killjoys soft giggle made her heart flutter, and she almost missed her words as she was kissed again.
