When she walked away I was met with a familiar face...

Lawyer boy.

Why was this stink in my favourite bakery, then again the sight was not bad. No, he can't be here.

"Jesus, what are you doing here?" I asked a little angrily.

"I'm leaving work" He said seemingly sharing the anger.

"This is a bakery, and you sir, are not a baker" I told him.

"My office is upstairs" He said slowly walking closer.

"Above Margret's bakery?" I asked in shock.

"Yeah," He said sitting in the seat across from me. We stayed staring at each other for a little bit.

"So, lawyer boy, going to tell me who you are?" I asked taking a bite of my scone.

"You first." He said.

"I asked first so, no" I replied.

"I would argue that I have to be here and you wanted to be so, you first" He argued, not on my watch.

"And I would have to argue that I can easily walk outside and look at the sign for your practice and I don't even have to talk to you" I said with a smirk leaning back.

"You could but, why would you when this is more fun?" He replied with a similar smirk.

"Good point, lawyer boy" I replied, "This is fun"

"It is indeed, Detective Edwards".

I forgot he knew my name, "I'm going to go now, you got this right?" I asked pointing to the table but leaving before I got an answer. The second I left I looked up to see a sign.

There was a phone number underneath and I saved it in my phone for future reference.

The next day I was still T.O. and we were doing a search. Nolan hat hit a woman who was a kidnapping victim and had left a girl, Emma, behind.

"7-Adam-19 go to private channel" The radio sounded, and I signaled for Chen to do so.

"Edwards, Nolan wants to question the victim again but I want to stay out of the other detective's way, will you go?" Talia says.

"Will do" I replied and began driving to the hospital.

"Do you have a husband o-or kids?" Lucy asked suddenly.

"Why are you asking me that Chen?" I was a little taken aback by the question.

"I was talking to Wrigley and his "Why" was his kids and his family" she replied.

"I don't," I told her, "There's something else though, out with it"

"I met Tim's wife," she said.

I knew Isabel, before. She was nice, I knew how hard this was for Tim.

"Oh?" I was shocked she knew about her.

"Tim and I were on a call, we arrested this guy, Ghost Head. Then a woman, Isabel came up and started telling me to let him go and Tim, he looked so... broken" she said.

"Isabel did break him," I told her as we approached the hospital, "How are your 5 W's going?" I asked getting out of the car.

"They're going" she responded.

After we questioned the victim I had a lead, I texted Talia my thoughts and she agreed to follow up. "Since we are here I'm going to tell you another one of my W's"I told Lucy. "What? I want to be a detective, which I have already accomplished but it doesn't make it any less important of a question" I told her walking towards the elevator.

"I only need to hear 2 more of your W's" Chen commented.

"Observant," I said sarcastically, "Tim's back tomorrow so better start working on yours" I told her as we walked outside the hospital.

"7-Adam-15 requesting help. Shots fired, 2311 Bailey Avenue" Bishop says over the radio.

"7-Adam-19 responding" I say frantically running to the shop.

When me and Chen arrive on the scene Talia had rammed her shop into the house and is just getting out.

"What the hell did you do?" I asked her.

"Saved Nolan" she said annoyed at the man.

We run down to the basement and see Nolan looking at a hatch, I assume the kidnapper ran out.

"He's running, I need someone to stay with Emma" Nolan said pointing to the room behind him.

"I got her, you guys go" I replied, "7-Adam-19 I need an R.A. and a supervisor at my location," I said into the radio as the others went out to chase the man.

"Hey Emma, I'm Detective Edwards you're going to be ok," I said walking towards her, releasing her from her restraints. She immediately broke down after I untied her and she fell into my arms. I held her until the ambulance came.

Later that day I was waiting outside the locker room for Chen to give me her W's, and Tim came over.

"What did you teach her this week?" Tim asked.

"Just wait ok, I did great work" I told him.

Chen walked out and was a little startled to see both of us there.

"Take it away Chen," I told her.

"Ok, so Who? Captain Anderson. What? A Captain Where? The path to Captain Why? I want to help people, yes I know it's cliche but it's true and finally How? I'm going to work hard and listen and learn from my T.O. " she said.

I gave Tim a smug look as I high-fived Lucy. "Told you I'd be useful," I told him.

"You still owe me," he said.

"Of course Timothy, I would never break a promise," I told him walking away.

I was so thankful Tim was back, I really couldn't take being a T.O. anymore. I walked up to Angela and Talia. "Hey ladies, unfortunately, Tim is back," I told them.

"This is going to suck" Talia said throwing her head back.

"Oh well, I forgot how hard being a T.O. was," I told them.

"You get used to it, I have to go though, have a nice night," Talia said walking away.

"Now Cassie are you excited for a wedding meeting?" Angela said to me, we were going to Beth's house to talk about the wedding.

"Very," I said sarcastically. "You better be though because I have an update on lawyer boy... his name is Wesley Evers, defence lawyer and he works above Margret's bakery," I told her.

"How very interesting" she commented.

"He's so annoying," I told her, "Anyway your driving or me?" I asked.

"You" she said pulling out her phone.

"Fantastic," I told her beginning to walk to my car.

Angela texted Tim the lawyer's name and place of work, that favour was really going to pay off.
