CHAPTER FIFTEEN
___________________________Soon Chan's mother had come for both kids telling them that dinner was ready. Once they came out of the room an aroma filled their noses.
A delicious smell of food calling out for them. Chan's mother reached the table, had set up it too. Chan's father had also been there. He was dressed in his suit with a briefcase.
The blonde motioned the puppy male to follow behind. The four taking their seats and smiling. Seungmin actually never had a home cooked meal at all. Through his life, his meals were always expensive meals.
As if it was from a fancy restaurant.
Seungmin was sat across from chan's father. He bowed slightly since he was sitting down. The dark brown hair smiled.
"I see there's new faces. Chan-ah, who's this?" Chan smiled then looked at the younger.
"Hello sir, I'm Seungmin. Chan's friend." Chan's father grew surprised upon seeing him using sign language.
"You know sign language?" Seungmin smiled and nodded his head. "Yes sir, I'm non hearing."
Chan laughed as he saw his father's expression. The blonde began to do gestures to get his dad's attention.
"exactly eomma's reaction." Chan signed with a small giggle. "Everyone eat, you can talk later."
Everyone nodded and began to eat their food. Seungmin melted at the taste of kimchi stew. Chan found it cute the way the younger would do small movements due to his happiness of tasting the soup.
Chan did hand gestures to get his mom's attention. "seems like someone loves your food." He pointed at the young male who was eating nonsense.
His mother smiled and tapped the younger. "enjoy, there's more of you would like." Seungmin smile again and nodded.
For the first time, he had his home meal. He smiled at the thought as he ate. Some of the soup came dripping near his sides of his mouth.
Seungmin looked over the others who were peacefully eating. He smiled sadly upon the sight in front of him.
Chan had a family who loved him dearly. A family who to come to. The elder had a family who supports him despite the circumstances. Chan who came from a low class background unlike him had everything he ever wanted. He had what the younger didn't have.
A family.
Seungmin who came from a high class family, a wealthy family. He didn't have a family who to come to, he wasn't loved by his own blood. It sadden seungmin just by the thought. He was always alone, distant from others. An abusive father who controlled him but he was raised by a bunch of maids.
A mother who he had no idea who she was. A mother that had abandoned him since birth the moment he came in. Nor did he want to know what had happened to her.
But sometimes he wished that his family wasn't so broken. He wished a loving family. Seungmin often feel like such, many others felt it too. At nights he cried once because of his broken family and many times by his disability.
That he had considered as a curse.
"Seungmin?" The younger snapped out it. He raised an eye brow. "My father had asked what would you like to do after high school?"
Seungmin looked in the elder's direction.
'My whole life is planned. There's nothing left for me.' He thought.
Seungmin smiled slightly trying to look less sad. "I wish to do photography but it won't be possible."
Chan's father raised an eye brow confused by the younger's choice of words. "why is that? I'm sure you'll do great."
Seungmin shakes his head politely. "no sir, it won't be up to me." The three looked at Seungmin.
The three frowning.
"what about chan hyung? What does he like?" A warm smile creeped up onto the elder's face due to the name of his son being mentioned.
"he wants to be a lawyer but I say he wants to be a doctor." A nervous smile landed on Chan's face.
"is that true?" Chan laughed nervously and nods his head. Soon the three started to interact with each other more expect chan.
A frown appeared on his face.
Chan was coda, born to deaf parents. The blonde was born with a gift well a gift to his parents. Due to the fact that Chan was hearing, he was able to communicate with the world for his parents.
At first chan felt happy around his parents because what they always said.
'Channie, you're our gift'
'You're an angel'
Things like that but in reality as he grew up and began understanding things. He began to hate it, having expectations by his parents.
Growing up with no friends, growing up alone. People would bully him because of his deaf parents. He had to take care of everything because of it making sure that everyone was respectful of his parents.
Struggles came in early in his life, people disrespecting his deaf due to their disability. He never stood up for himself because of it.
(Twinkling Watermelon similarly :) )
Chan's dream was to become a producer, a composer. Making music for the world. Being on stage but soon his dream broke down because of his parents.
His parents wanted him to become a doctor or a lawyer. Chan wouldn't say he was innocent either because he did in fact make music and posted them online.
He went by the name 'CB97' and he had a somewhat fandom. He hid it from his own parents and he hoped to keep it that way.
No matter the cost. Chan always called it his hobby not his career. Although it wasn't true, he had to become what his parents expected him to be. That's why he always studied non stop.
To make his parents proud and happy no matter if he had to leave his own happiness.
To Chan, his parents were his everything. His life and he loved them dearly. He would do anything for them. Although they weren't hearing, Chan was like ears to them.
Chan wanted to remain as their pride. Their joy, their so perfect son but didn't know that in the process he would destroy himself.
-" hai everyone, I hope everyone is doing good. Remember to take well care of yourself 🩷"
