Chapter Six:

Nia's POV
I was really happy my dad career was taking off. They announced the album at the Hollywood Walk of Fame and everyone was excited for the new Jonas Brothers. The family and I already heard it before it was announced and our dad had dedicated a song to me, my cousins and sisters called Little Bird. It was a beautiful sad song one my favorites off the album. I also love Vacation Eyes and Walls. I feel like my dad always kills it when he sings it and the fans are going to grow to love it too.

Although I told them they should have picked Vacation Eyes and Walls to be their next single, but my dad had to put me in my place because I wasn't supposed to say anything about what they should choose as a single because it was the band decisions and I wasn't supposed to get involved. I just don't think Wings is their best choice but they do them I guess.

Dad and I went on our Lake Tahoe vacation trip we go on every year together, since the girls were too young to join they stayed with grandma and grandpa. I haven't been skiing in a long time because I wasn't allowed to during Dance Moms because it was a rule, but now that Dance Moms is over I got to ski with my dad again!

We made it to the cabin, my dad and his friends were here also when we had arrived. I hugged my Uncle Mikey and we were met by a boy my age and my dad ask where his parents and I rolled my eyes and he said that his mom allows him to give rooms to the guest.

Nia: *to the boy* sorry about my dad
Boy: it's alright, I'm use to it. So what are you here for?
Nia: my dad and I annual ski trip. I use to go with him a lot but stopped because of dance
Boy: why?
Nia: because my dance teacher was afraid of one of her dancers getting hurt
Boy: well that rarely happens. I'm Ricky by the way
Nia: my name is Nia
Nick: Nia, come help us with the bags
Nia: coming Uncle Nick, gotta go
Ricky: it was nice talking to you. Glad to see another kid around my age
Nia: same *smiles and leaves and goes to the family* what?
Joe: you seem happy
Nia: can't I just be happy that I get to ski with my family
Mikey: no, it's that boy over there
Nia: *roll eyes* he's just a normal kid working a daily job Uncle Mike
Joe: well... while we're I guess I should be reminded you of the rules
Nia: oh gee dad seriously
Joe: yes, rule 1: bed time same as always,
Nia: seriously? I get a bed time on vacation Joe: yes, need to keep your daily's schedule in check. rules 2: no going anywhere without any of us. I have to know where you're at all times
Nia: that seems fair
Joe: rule 3: always have your phone on you never have it off. And the biggest rule of all rule number 4: no boys
Nia: oh god! He was just being friendly that's it
Joe: you don't know what his intentions are
Nia: oh really what was yours at your age
Nick/Mikey: ooo
Joe: not the point, you're only 11
Nia: and I'll be 12 this year. I also woman now

My dad's friends groan and Nia rolled her eyes.

Nia: oh grow up
John: sorry Nia, it's just hard picturing you grown up now
Nick: you have to realize you're the first ever Jonas girl and we are just-
Nia: over protective... yeah I know
Joe: come on baby girl, we love you and we just want what's best for you
Nia: *sighs heavily* I know
Joe: come on let's go settle down and then go out to eat and start skiing
Nia: I like the sound of that!

When we got back I hurt my ankle when Uncle Mikey was trying to teach me a few tricks on the board. I didn't listen and accidentally twisted my ankle. Uncle Nick and Uncle Mikey had to carry me in.

Nia: ow! Ow! Ow! It hurts
Joe: shh relax Nia
Ricky: what happened?
Joe: she twisted her ankle when skiing, elevate her ankle guys
Nia: OW! Don't touch it!
Mikey: okay gee
Ricky: I'll get an ankle boot
Joe: thanks, come on sweetie we have to see how bad it is if we need to take you to the hospital
Nia: NO HOSPITAL
Joe: alright, alright. Calm down. I know you don't do well with pain Nia, but you need to chill
Nia: sorry
Mikey: none of this would have happened if she had listens to me
Nia: *roll eyes* I know... I'm sorry
