Chapter Thirteen:
Joe has allowed the dance mom's girls and mom to stay here in their California home. So that they didn't need to buy an apartment in LA until they're sure to move to LA for good. Nia had a sleep over room where the girls could all stay in and she was so happy that her dad has allowing her friends to stay with them, but that didn't mean rules had to be changed because of them.
Jill: it's really nice that Joe allowed us to stay here so we didn't have to rent out here in LA that was very nice of him
Melissa: yeah it saves us money, until our career takes off
Holly: I know we haven't had the best season together so will try to make things work for the sake of the girls because they are really excited to be roommates
Nia: Holly
Holly: yes Nia
Nia: can we go in the pool. The girls really wanted to swim in it when they saw how big it was
Holly: is your school work done
Nia: uh...
Holly: that's a no. Nia, you know your father has instructed you schoolwork before anything else. If your friends being here is distracting you-
Nia: nooo pleaseee... daddy will make everyone leave. I kind of like how things are
Holly: than go do what you're told
Nia: everyone else already did their school work but me *pouts*
Holly: well those girls are allowed in the pool than until your school work is done and I'm going to make sure it's done before you go in with them so you're not lying to me about your school work
Nia: *sighs* yes ma'am
While everyone was in the pool Nia was in the kitchen catching up on her school work she was almost done with her dad came in.
Nia: daddy!
Joe: hey sweet girl, how the school coming
Nia: almost done
Joe: where is everyone?
Nia: outside they wanted to be in the pool. I couldn't because my school wasn't done
Joe: good I'm glad Holly is enforcing that rule
Nia: thanks for allowing my friends to stay here
Joe: of course Nia, they're like family.. plus I wouldn't want them struggling in LA right now with apartment expenses
Nia: dad... who's Sophie
Joe eyes twitch and he looked at her.
Joe: how did you hear that name?
Nia: *holds up phone* technology is very fun
Joe: go back to your school work
Nia: dad...
Joe: *sighs* fine... I figured you would find out eventually, yes I'm dating someone
Nia: who is she? Where is she from? How did you meet-
Joe: hold on- hold your questions. First of all we made a pact that you would not meet any of my girlfriends after 3 months
Nia: that includes bringing them home when I'm not here
Joe: I learned my lesson after you walked in on us
Nia: but I would like to know who she is
Joe: she's an actress, we met in Paris when I was doing a project for DNCE
Nia: where is she originally from
Joe: England
Nia: do I have permission to interrogate? when it's my time to eventually meet her...
Joe: as long as you're cool with it like you did with Demi
Nia: hey Demi was asking for it. She tired to be all sweet to me when she knew you two were dating behind my back
Joe: I get it you're being protective
Nia: yeah because no girl is ever right for my dad
Joe: just like no guy is ever right for you?
Nia: I fell right into that... I get why you get over protective anytime I speak with a boy
Joe: thank you
Nia: so can I meet her?
Joe: Nia...
Nia: please? I know it hasn't been 3 months, but she can't come to my next dance competition since that's the only time I'm available
Joe: alright... but you got to promise me you will be nice
Nia: hey... I'm always nice
Joe: get your school work done kiddo so you can hang out with your friends
Nia: *sighs* okay...
Joe smiles and ruffles her hair and Nia got down with her homework and got into her baiting suite and met everyone outside.
At the dance competition.
Nia was getting ready for her solo when Joe and Sophie walked in and everyone looked.
Nia: dad! *goes to him and hugs him*
Joe: hey sweetheart just came to see how my big star doing
Holly: shes doing great, she just went over her solo
Joe: good, and Abby I'm going to need to have word with you later about giving my daughter alternative.
Nia: dad... please not now before I go on stage
Joe: fine, oh forgot to introduce everyone. Everyone this is Sophie, my girlfriend
Everyone in the room accept Nia said hi.
