Joe and Nick been living in California and Kevin was over. Their dad was stopping by tomorrow to play their new music for Joe and Nick solo career while the Jonas Brothers were on hiatus. Suddenly there was a knock on the door.
Joe: I got it
Joe got up and ran over to the door and opened it. He looked and then heard a baby noise and looked down at the ground.
Joe: uh... guys... there's a baby on our doormat.
The other two brothers got up and looked as well.
Nick: well it's not our baby for sure, unless one of us dated a black woman
Joe: uh...
Kevin: Joe? Why are you hesitating?
Joe: because I slept with a black woman...
Nick: when was this?
Joe: about 9 months ago
Kevin: *says sarcastically* congratulations it's a girl!
Joe: you don't think that's why she dump me is it? Because she knew she was having a kid
Nick: I don't know Joe, why don't you go call this woman or go find her?
Joe: the problem is, this woman was just supposed to be a one night stand. I don't have her number or any record of her
Nick: great Joe! Do you know how bad this would make us look. We wear purity rings for god sake, now it all means nothing
Kevin: wait maybe it's not too late, maybe the mother is still around
Joe: I'll go check to see if I will recognize her. Make sure she stays there.
Joe runs out and Nick and Kevin looked at the baby curiosity.
Kevin: so... what are we supposed to do with it?
Later.
The boys were panicking with the baby in the apartment because they didn't know where the mother was.
Joe: I'm just saying, for a woman who just had a baby, she moves remarkably fast. How can she just leave her here?
Kevin: Joe, you gotta calm down, okay? I'm sure she's not even your baby
Joe: why because she's black baby, you don't think she's possibly mine
Kevin: that's not what I meant
Nick: *holding her* not going to lie, she kind of has Joe's eyes
Kevin: *looks* hey I found a note in her car seat* her name is Nia
Joe: I don't know any Nia's
Kevin: the baby name is Nia, idiot. God I hope this child is smarter than you with common sense. Hi Nia, it's your Uncle Kevin.
Joe: Kevin focus! Who's the mother?
Kevin: oh right, *reads* Camila
Joe and Nick looked at each other and gasp.
Joe/Nick: Camila! Of course/that's right
Kevin: I'm guessing you guys know a Camila
Joe: she was a wannabe actress
Nick: that girl was crazy
Joe: does it say anything else?
Kevin: she said she's sorry. She didn't know what else to do. And she just needed a little more time
Joe: time? What time? I'm not ready to be a dad. What if Camila never comes back
Kevin: come on man it's going to be okay
Joe: how do you know?
Kevin: I don't know but it's all I got
Nick: plus look at her little face, you don't want to let her down now do you
Joe: *smiles at her face* no I don't
Nick: then grab your daughter and be a parent to the little girl because she need one and that's you
Joe: *grabs her* hey baby girl, I'm your daddy, and I'm going to make sure you have the most awesome life ever
Kevin: how old is the baby anyways?
Joe: that's a good question... I met Camilla at that party in the village.
Nick: mm...
Joe: and we dated for maybe six weeks before we were... intimate. And she broke up with me pretty much right after that. I'm sure there was no correlation. So... we're into October now and they take like nine months once they're up and running. I think *counts in his head*
Nick: so basically 3 months
Joe: wow... my baby 3 months old
Kevin: I think the first thing we have to do before we verify if it's your baby, is to take a fraternity test. But it's probably obvious it's yours since you know her birth mother
Nick: next you need to do is tell mom and dad. How are you going to tell mom and dad their grandparents now
Joe: they're so going to kill me and dad supposed to stop by tomorrow to hear the new sound
Kevin: so... what are we supposed to do until then?
Joe: I guess we wait to hear what they have to say. Gross I think the baby needs a diaper change *pulls away from him*
Nick/Kevin: you're on your own dude
