Aurora woke up the next morning, to her alarm clock going off, she groaned pulling the blankets over her head dreading getting up that morning. Finally after a few minutes of self-convincing she decided to force herself out of bed and get ready for the day. Once she was dressed and ready to go she headed down the hallway - passing Jeremy's room along the way. She notices him with his sketch pad out making her smile and quietly close the door she continued her path downstairs noticing her mom getting ready to leave.

"Jer's got his sketch pad out." Aurora informed the girls with a smile on her face, happy that her cousin was finally getting back into his art knowing how happy it made him in the past.
"You're kidding?" Jenna exasperated surprised as Elena walked down the stairs.
"What's going on?" Elena questioned joining in on the conversation as Aurora poured coffee in her travel mug.
"Apparently Jeremy's got his sketch pad out," Jenna recalled making Elena's face turn surprised.

"Seriously?" Elena questioned shocked
"Yeah, but don't say a word. The minute we encourage him, he'll put it away." Aurora noted
"Psychology major. Check that!" Jenna grinned making Aurora smile at her mother shaking her head as she took a sip of the fresh coffee she just poured, glancing over at Elena to notice her looking at her phone.

"You and Stefan? Update?" Jenna questioned curiously as Elena began to button up her jacket.
"He knows how I feel and where I stand and I know where he stands but it doesn't matter. He's leaving, moving away." Elena informed making Aurora frown feeling bad for her cousin.
"Where is he going?" Jenna wondered
"I've stopping asking questions. The answers get scary." Elena admitted as the three walked out the front door.
"Yours leaves, mine returns." Jenna scoffs
"Logan?" Elena recalled

"He's back," Jenna acknowledged making Aurora and Elena groan in displeasure making Jenna quickly add "I didn't let him pass the front door."
"I hope you slammed it in his face," Aurora huffed
"Ah, medium slam." Jenna shrugged making Aurora subtly roll her eyes wishing that she had made it more dramatic.
"Three-strike rule, Jenna. You're not even allowed to watch the news." Elena reminded the woman making Jenna nod.
"Exactly. No more Logan "Scum" Fell." Jenna agreed.

Once Elena and Aurora made it to school they quickly met up with Bonnie as per usual and began their way to class when they spotted Caroline and Matt together chatting.
"Did I miss something?" Elena questioned curiously
"They've been hanging out," Bonnie informed the girl
"Kind of weird, don't you think?" Elena observed hesitantly as she watched Caroline and Matt go into their classroom nearby.

"As long as she's happy. I'm happy for her. Besides, she needs someone nice like him." Aurora acknowledged
"Yeah, as opposed to a homicidal vampire like Damon." Bonnie scoffed lightly as they make a pit stop at Elena's locker.
"Yeah, how are you doing with all that?" Aurora questioned concerned
"I'm freaked out. Damon attacked me. I could be dead right now. But I'm also grateful." Bonnie elaborated
"Hmm?" Elena trailed off unsure.
"To Stefan. He saved my life and...Have you seen him?" Bonnie asked curiously making Elena removed her scarf and threw it in and her bag into her locker.
"Not since he told me he was leaving. For all I know, he's already gone." Elena shrugged

"He wouldn't leave without saying goodbye." Bonnie stated as Elena grabbed her books from her locker.
"Yes, he would. He thinks he's protecting me. Clean break and all that." Elena explained clearly frustrated but she maintained her composure.
"So, what are you gonna do?" Aurora wondered
"What am I supposed to do? I've already begged him not to go. If I ask again, I'm being selfish. It is what it is." Elena dismissed as they continued their way down the hallway again.
"Maybe it's for the best," Bonnie suggested making Elena stop suddenly and look at Bonnie making her and Aurora stop as well.
"What? Why?" Elena inquires confused
"I mean, what kind of future could you have had with him, even if he stayed?" Bonnie questioned the girl as a banner fell down on them that states "the promise of your future."

"Did you just...?" Aurora trailed off knowingly
"No, I swear." Bonnie declared making Elena sigh and hit the banner out of her way, storming off to her class.
"Oh, god." Elena groaned clearly overwhelmed making Bonnie and Aurora exchange looks before following after the girl.
