Aurora woke up that morning feeling relieved to have that secret off her chest and being able to continue through her day like normal. The girl first started by waking up and getting dressed, she decided to go with a casual outfit today as she was planning on helping with the school carnival and she wanted to be comfortable. She dreaded going knowing that Damon would probably show up at some point knowing him and she was not ready to talk to him. But she knew if she didn't Caroline would murder her.

So once she made it to the high school, she joined Bonnie and Elena who were currently doing their needed tasks to finish the set up. She decided to take a break and get some popcorn to munch on since she didn't eat much that day and so she met up with Jeremy who was also buying some and talked with him for a bit on how he was doing when Damon arrived.

"Jeremy, it's so good to see you alive." Damon greeted with a smirk causing Aurora to roll her eyes at his presence.
"Aren't you a little old for a high school carnival?" Aurora remarked sending the boy a glare.
"A hundred and fifty years too old." Damon notes taking some of Aurora's popcorn and eating it making her glare at him.

"You're pretty funny cracking jokes when I could I don't know...blow the whole lid off this thing by telling someone what you really are." Jeremy threatened before going to leave but Damon catches him and pulls him away from the crowd making Aurora tense.
"Please tell me that that is not a threat." Damon warns
"Maybe it is," Jeremy shrugs showing him the ring on his finger making Damon choke him from behind with an arm under his chin.

"Damon, don't ---" Aurora began to protest but Damon ignored her as she tried to separate Damon from Jeremy but he was too strong.
"This is what we're not gonna do: we're not gonna walk around like we are invincible when it's this easy for me to end you." Damon begins before releasing him and continuing "If you want to tell people what I really am go ahead and try." He pauses holding up Jeremy's ring, showing that he took it from his hand. "I will shove this ring so far up your ass, you'll really have something to choke on."

Damon then flicks the ring at Jeremy's face and leaves while Jeremy holds his face where the ring hit him in pain before looking down and recovering the ring. After checking up on Jeremy, Aurora excuses herself and runs after Damon furiously.

"What the hell is wrong with you!" Aurora shouts grabbing Damon's attention causing him to turn around.
"He was being a jerk, had to teach him a lesson." Damon shrugged nonchalantly making Aurora scoff.
"By killing him?" Aurora exasperated in a hushed voice making Damon roll his eyes and grab the girls arm, pulling her away from the crowd.
"Don't touch me!" Aurora snapped making Damon drop her arm reluctantly.

"Do you want me to hate you? Fine done, you screwed up Damon, again." Aurora began
"Thank you!" Damon expressed dramatically.
"and despite everything that you've done I'm reaching out to you, again, and you still can't get out of your own way. God! I feel sorry for you." Aurora retorted before turning to leave making Damon flash in front of her using his vamp speed.
"Don't turn your back on me -" Damon started.
"I should've turned my back on you ages ago!" Aurora shot back, surprising herself and Damon as her eyes filled with disappointment and a hint of sadness. Damon's expression softened for a fleeting moment, a hint of regret in his eyes. But then, as quickly as it came, the vulnerability vanished, replaced by the familiar mask of indifference. Aurora took a deep breath, her eyes challenging him one last time, before turning on her heel and walking away, leaving Damon standing alone in the empty alleyway.
