Later that afternoon, Alaric, Aurora, and Simone ended up going to the Grill for lunch and as Alaric and Aurora sat at the table, Aurora discreetly observed Simone talking to the bartender. While, Alaric watched Jules at the bar talking to Liz. This acknowledgement prompted him to contact Damon.

"Hey, Damon. The wolf is at the Grill." Alaric left the oldest Salvatore brother a message over the phone before hanging up. In minutes, Stefan appeared joining them, and as a blender started near the bar, they took the opportunity to discuss the situation.

"Is that the-?" Stefan trailed off knowingly making Alaric nod.
"Yeah, yeah. I just left Damon a message." Alaric informed Stefan making Stefan hum in response.
"So you're doing his dirty work for him now." Stefan realized
"She could have a cure for Rose. I couldn't find anything in Isobel's research except that it's fatal." Alaric explained

"Wait, Rose was bitten?" Aurora questioned confused
"Yeah, last night. The only werewolves around were you and Tyler. You were with Elijah, and Tyler was with Caroline, leaving Jules." Alaric confirmed as Aurora glanced at Simone uncertainly, catching Stefan's attention.
"Everything okay there?" Stefan wondered curiously.
"I'm not sure yet, but I think you're right about Simone." Aurora replied honestly making Alaric furrow his eyebrows confused.

"Wait, what happened?" Alaric inquired lost.
"Stefan thinks Simone is a vampire, and I think he might be right." Aurora revealed
"What are you planning on doing?" Alaric questioned her plans.
"I don't know yet, but I have to make sure before I talk to her. There was a bag in her room that she was very suspicious about, and I think it has blood bags. So if I look in there and it's there... then we know." Aurora concluded
"You've got it handled?" Stefan wondered concerned making Aurora nod.
"Yeah, I'll be fine. Don't worry." Aurora reassured causing Stefan to nod and turn to Alaric, shifting the topic.

"Do you still know of a way to get in touch with Isobel?" Stefan interrogated Alaric.
"Even if I did, she isn't gonna help." Alaric reminded Stefan
"Katherine said that Isobel knew of Klaus." Stefan recalled
"So this isn't about Rose; it's about Elena. I have an old number, probably out of service." Alaric realized
"No harm in giving it to me then?" Stefan raised a knowing eyebrow.
"You know you can't trust Isobel, even when it comes to Elena." Alaric reminded Stefan who nodded.
"I know that." Stefan agreed resulting in Alaric agreed to check for the number and text it to Stefan, leaving as the blender shut off. Simone approached, noticing Stefan exiting.

"Everything okay?" Simone questioned skeptically
"Yeah, everything's okay. He was just wondering where Elena's at." Aurora reassured as Simone passed them their drinks as she smiled and took a seat.
"Oh, okay. So tell me, what have I missed?" Simone inquired making Alaric and Aurora exchange uncertain glances, hesitating.

After their visit at the grill, the news of Rose's death had reached Aurora, sparking immediate concern for Damon. Determined to check on him, she took Jenna's old car and drove to the Salvatore boarding house. Knocking on the door yielded no response, so Aurora, fearing the worst, let herself in. She searched the house but couldn't find Damon. Sensing his presence, she decided to pour him a glass of scotch, hoping to offer some comfort. As she finished, Damon entered through the door, catching her by surprise.
