Callie's POV:

I just stare at the dead body with a blank look. "Holy shit," Glenn says in disbelief and I turn my head to look at him.

"You alright?" I ask and he swallows nervously then nods, "Hershel?" I look at the old man and find him already looking at me.

He blinks and nods slightly so I nod back and glance back to Rick who slid his gun back in his holster and gives me a small nod.

"Let's head back," Hershel announces with a heavy sigh. At least he isn't looking at me in disgust or anything.

I kneel down to grab the shotgun Tony had and dig through his pockets finding two shotgun shells. That's all he had?

Wasn't gonna do him much good if he came across a horde. I pocket the shells and stood up then grabbed my bow.

I follow the others towards the front doors. Suddenly we hear a car arriving. Shit! "Car. Car. Get down," Rick whispers in a frantic tone and we all duck behind under the windows or in my case against the doors.

I quietly slid my arm through my bow string and pulled out my handgun. Makes me wish I brought my automatic instead.

"Dave? Tony? They said over here?" We all hear an unknown man's voice come from outside.

"I'm telling you, man, I heard shots," another one announces. That's two men.

"I saw roamers two streets over. Might be more around here," a third man says. There's three.

"They probably took down some roamers," a fourth one adds. That's four. So there's four of them.

Those odds ain't bad for me. I carefully lean over towards Rick's ear, "let me waste em. There's no guilt for me."

He shook his head quickly and pressed his finger to his lips. I clench my jaw at that and move back. There footsteps get closer and my grip tightens on my gun.

They walk passed the bar and headed left. Rick slowly but carefully stood up and peeked out the window.

He moves away and crouches down to head over towards the three of us. "Why won't they leave?" Glenn whispers quietly.

"Would you?" Hershel retorts quietly and gives him a look making Glenn shake his head.

"We can't sit here any longer. Let's head out the back and make a run to the car. And Callie, waste em if they spot us," Rick whispers and I nod firmly while getting to my feet but still ducked down.

We all began moving quietly towards the back when gun fire goes out sending everyone back to their original spots.

A few more gunshots ring out before falling silent. "What happened?" I hear one of them question.

"Roamers, I nailed em," the second one answers. There's gonna be more walkers coming from the gunshots.

"They disappeared but their car's still there," the third one announces. We should've left earlier and dragged Hershel by his suspenders if we had too.

"I cleared those buildings. You guys get this one?" The fourth one says then asked getting negative responses, "we're looking for Dave and Tony and no one checks the damn bar?"

Crap! Footsteps approached the building and I make a split decision by lunging forward when I saw the door beginning to open and slammed my back against it to close it.

My jaw clenches as I give Rick a look who closes his eyes briefly. "Someone pushed that shut. There's someone in there," we hear one of them whisper but good enough since we still heard them.
