The venue was absolutely stunning. Silver stars gently hung from the ceiling and adorned the walls, casting a breathtaking glow. In one corner of the room, soft blue and white lights added to the enchanting ambiance, while two different backdrops provided the perfect backdrop for memorable photos. The overall scenery was simply amazing.

Rosalie excitedly pulled August over to an empty table, with Angelina and Tristan following closely behind them. The girls dropped their purses on the table and immediately made their way to the dance floor, joyously dancing to the music. August couldn't help but smile as he watched Rosalie in her element, radiating happiness.

"You two look so in love," Tristan remarked, observing August's adoring gaze.

"How can you not see it when she's as incredible as she is?" August responded his focus still solely on Rosalie.

As the girls continued to dance, August and Tristan engaged in conversation. Tristan couldn't help but shake his head whenever he caught August stealing glances at Rosalie.

"Why don't you just ask her out already?" Tristan finally questioned.

"I really want to, but I'm aware that she has been hurt before. I don't want to rush things, so I'm fine with taking it slow," August explained.

When the girls eventually returned to the table, gasping for breath but with broad smiles on their faces, August asked, "Did you girls have fun?"

"Yeah, why don't you come and dance with me?" Rosalie suggested, grabbing August's hand.

"Not right now, shortcake," August replied playfully.

Disappointed, Rosalie pouted her lips and crossed her arms, remarking, "Aw, you're no fun."

"How about I get us some punch, and we can dance later?" August proposed once she sat down.

"Fine, but you better slow dance with me," she demanded, still slightly grumpy.

Before walking away to fetch some punch, August kissed Rosalie's forehead, eliciting a smile from her. Unable to resist, Angelina seized the opportunity to ask her a question when August was out of hearing range.

"Just how much do you like him?" Angelina inquired.

"What do you mean?" Rosalie responded, puzzled.

"I mean, I know you like him, but how much?" Angelina further clarified.

"If you're asking if I see us getting together, the answer is maybe. I honestly don't know," Rosalie confessed.

"I don't want to get hurt again, but being around August feels different than with anyone else. Being with him feels magical, almost surreal," she continued, her voice full of hope and wonder.

Before Angelina or Tristan could respond, August returned to the table with two red solo cups in his hands. He handed one to Rosalie and sat down beside her, oblivious to the prior conversation they had.

The group of friends happily sat together, chatting and enjoying each other's company. As the night progressed, a slow song began to play. It was Ed Sheeran's "Perfect." August, having disposed of their empty cups, tapped Rosalie on the shoulder to get her attention.

"May I have this dance?" he asked, extending his hand toward her.

"Yes, you may," Rosalie replied, eagerly taking hold of his hand.

They made their way to the center of the dance floor, surrounded by other couples swaying to the music. August gently placed his hand on Rosalie's waist, pulling her closer, as she rested her head against his chest.

As they danced, the world seemed to fade away around them, leaving only the two of them in their own little bubble of happiness. They moved in perfect harmony, their steps synchronized as if they had been dancing together for years.

"You know, I couldn't take my eyes off you from the moment I saw you tonight," August whispered, his voice filled with sincerity.

Rosalie looked up at him, her eyes twinkling with admiration. "And I couldn't stop thinking about you either. This night feels like a dream come true."

August leaned down and pressed his lips against hers in a soft yet passionate kiss. The air around them seemed to crackle with electricity as they were oblivious to the world around them.

Meanwhile, Angelina and Tristan watched the couple from the sidelines, exchanging knowing glances.

"I think we've just witnessed the birth of prom royalty," Tristan remarked, a proud smile on his face.

Angelina nodded in agreement. "They're definitely going to be the prom king and queen. It's like they were made for each other."

As the song ended and the crowd erupted into applause, August and Rosalie reluctantly pulled away from each other, their smiles radiant.

"Thank you for that dance," August said, his voice filled with emotion.

Rosalie's cheeks flushed with color as she replied, "No, thank you. That was the most perfect dance I've ever had."

August took her hand, intertwining their fingers. "Well, get used to it because I plan on making every moment we spend together just as perfect."

Their gaze locked, and in that instant, they both knew that they had found something truly special.

As August and Rosalie stood lost in their own world, the principal's voice cut through the air, interrupting their enchantment.

"Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time to reveal our prom king and queen!" the principal announced, sending a surge of excitement through the room.

August and Rosalie exchanged a glance, their hearts racing with anticipation. Their hands tightened around each other's, silently hoping for a victory.

"After counting the votes, I am thrilled to announce that our prom queen is... Rosalie Kingston!" the principal declared, causing the room to erupt in cheers.

A wide grin spread across Rosalie's face as she soaked in the adulation. August felt a profound sense of pride and joy for her.

"And now, our prom king is... August Griffin!" the principal's voice resounded, igniting another round of applause and cheers.

August was overwhelmed with happiness and disbelief as he basked in the applause. He locked eyes with Rosalie, who radiated pride and elation.

As a slow melody started playing, August and Rosalie shared a look of excitement and made their way to the dance floor.

Lost in each other's arms, they moved to the rhythm, the outside world fading away. They were the prom king and queen, and nothing else mattered. Their smiles never wavered as they danced the night away.

"I can't believe we actually won," Rosalie whispered, her voice filled with wonder.

August chuckled, his eyes filled with adoration. "We truly are an incredible pair, aren't we?"

Rosalie nodded, nestling against August's chest. "Absolutely. This night couldn't be more perfect."

At that moment, crowned as prom king and queen, surrounded by friends, and immersed in love, August and Rosalie knew this was just the beginning. Their journey together held boundless potential, filled with love, enchantment, and infinite possibilities. As the night drew to a close, August and Rosalie walked hand in hand, carried away by the enchantment of their prom and the promise of their future.
