Chapter 8 : Saturday Afternoon (Q2)

(Faith's POV)

I was in the mclaren cabin with managers and engineers. I was texted in the group chat while the boys were in their cooling rooms. I was helping Lando cool down while the girls were probably doing the same with 'their drivers'. I loved to tease them, even though me and Lando were official. Leah and Carlos were a total ship! Monique and Charles were for sure soulmates. The way they always look at each other. After Lando was feeling more calmer, I sat near him and started texting the others. I saw him looking at my phone to see what the group was saying instead of getting his phone. He put his hand on my thigh and I turned red. I was almost shaking with excitement and joy! I looked at him and give him a cute smile and he went in for a kiss. Adrenaline. I swear was killing me. I was so so happy and wanted to tell the girls but I couldn't since he was watching. There is 7 minutes left until break is over! Damn. I kept on texting the others.

    As we texted, he put his head on my shoulder. I knew he had been waiting for this moment. Meanwhile, Monique sent a picture of her and Charles hugging each other which was super cute. Charles was sitting near her like me and Lando were but he was hugging her on the side while she took the photo from a high angle. I loved it. Then I sent a picture of me and Lando being all cute and stuff. Leah sent a picture of Carlos sitting on the couch as she was near him striking a pose as usual. 1 minute left, drivers proceed to their cars!  I went back to get the headset on as I saw Lando from the tv going to the car in the position. Leah texted me again saying that she hoped they all won. We all said good luck to the men as they got it and radio checked their helmets.

    Everyone is in the car, and there they go one by one. Charles already knows the track by heart as he goes slowly for now. The drivers are all slowly working their way around the track. Daniel trying to surpass some drivers to have an advantage when speeding. And they're going for a turn as PEREZ HITS PIERRE! RADIO CHECK WITH PIERRE AND THEN PEREZ.

Pierre : The hell was that man. What the absolute * .
Alpine Engineer : It's okay there isn't much damage, come in for a pit stop if you feel there is the need.
Pierre : Copy that.

Now please radio check with Perez.

Sergio : Oh god. Sorry Pierre. I swear. Please tell me he's okay?
Red Bull Engineer : From the looks of it he's okay. I'll tell his engineer to ask.
Sergio : Thank you.

Alright. From the looks of it, Charles is in the lead with the best time, Ferrari has a started the year very well! Maybe a world champion title for Charles who knows! Daniel surpassing Yuki into 10th place. Pit stop for Pierre Gasly. Radio Check for Carlos.

Carlos : I'll try to repeat like last year, Lando behind with DRS 0.8.
Ferrari engineer : Okay, it worked out good last year, Singapore.
Carlos : Okay.

5 minutes left already! Wonderful, not too much happened in this session from the looks of it. Charles around 1 second in front of Carlos and 2 seconds in front of Lando. Max in 4th place still, looks like red bull won't be dominating this year's season of 2024!..

    Okay, I can't agree with him, MANY THINGS HAVE HAPPENED! I texted the girls about it and they totally agreed. I had already told them what happened sooo.. anyways.. AND IT IS NOW QUALIFYING SESSION TWO DONE! EVERY DRIVER GO BACK TO PIT LANE. Charles already pulled up into the pit lane and got down and went to his cabin.. Carlos and Lando also got there already and went to their cabins.

I got off my headset as I saw Lando coming inside, I ran to him with a water bottle and a towel as he removed his helmet and took the towel. He instantly went into the cooling room and I ran after him.. this for sure is going to be a good qualifying...
