Chapter 12 : The Big Race..

(Charles POV)

I'm not okay. I'm worried and stressing out. No one even noticed which is a good thing i guess. I don't know what to do. The race has to be my most memorable one yet. "Are you okay, Charles?" Monique asked. "Yes. Why?" I replied instantly. "You're shaking. Are you nervous?" She asked me being as caring as usual. I instantly told her that im fine and that it was just a bit of excitement for the race as I was getting myself ready. She kissed me on the forehead and said that she would be right back. I got everything ready as I heard the presenter tell us to get ready in 10 minutes. I ran to the middle of the cabin, got my headset on and got into the car. They gave me the steering wheel and i went to the starting line. I hope it will be good.

The cars are all set. The lights are flicking... AND THE LIGHTS ARE OUT AND AWAY WE GO FOR THE OFFICIAL RACE OF 2024 IN MONACO! CHARLES SPEEDING UP TO GO FOR THE FIRST CORNER AS HIS TEAMMATE SLOWS DOWN WITH LANDO NORRIS RIGHT ON HIS TAIL. CHARLES IS GOING VERY GOOD FOR NOW. AND AS THE TURN HITS! WOAH! SERGIO IS HIT BY LEWIS AND BOTH GO OFF THE TRACK TO HIT THE BARRIERS. MANY POSITIONS ARE CHANGING TOO QUICKLY! RADIO CHECK WITH THE SMOOTH OPERATOR PLEASE!

Carlos : Damn, those cars are changing so quickly. How far is Perceval?
Ferrari Engineer : Let me check.... 3.592 seconds away right now.
Carlos : Okay, gracias.

Carlos really is determined this race, since it is his last season with Scuderia Ferrari he wants to make the best of it! Charles will be very very sad after this season. Charles going for lap 4 out of the 78 laps in just 5 minutes! Alonso going round and going up to 4th position and leaving Daniel Riccardo in. the. dust! The positions right now..

NOW... THAT TOOK ME SOME TIME TO SAY THEM IN ORDER BUT... WE ARE OFFICIALLY 20 MINUTES INTO THE RACE. CHARLES IS PERFECTLY FINE WITH THE CAR THIS YEAR AND HOPEFULLY, WILL BE A WORLD CHAMPION! He's not wrong.. all I want is a world champion title with Ferrari, is that too much to ask? People think I'm depressed or sad because I loose control of the car by mistake. It isn't Ferrari's fault. They actually are really caring for their cars. They take care of how they generate the items. The car this year is just beautiful. The team is actually doing wonderful pit stops. It's a deserve not a want anymore for a world champion. "Percevalllll u okay?" Monique asked me through the headphones. "Yes princess I'm fine. Can you tell me the positions right now?" "Yes sure..." she instantly replied. After a while of her telling me all the positions, i did around 3 more laps. This is going to be a piece of cake! I hope Lando and Carlos are doing good!...

(Lando's POV)

    It's some laps into the race. All i can think about is a podium and my girl. Faith. She's so pretty. My parents already love her by only a picture I sent them of me and her before I slept. I found my soulmate. She's just.....too much for me. Anyways.. "Hey Will! Put on some music for me will you?" "Of course Lando." ITS FRIDAY THEN....ITS SATURDAY SUNDAY WHAT? ITS FRIDAY THEN ITS SATURDAY SUNDAY WHATTTT.  Thats how I like it. Music to my ears! I can see Carlos warming some fresh tires hm.. wonder if he's tired yet... "Hey Will, question, what lap are we on?" "Lap 39 out of 78.." "Thanks!" "Welcome Lando." Okay.. not bad. Wonder what is Faith doing hm..

    "Hey Faith? You there?" I asked. "Yes! I'm here of course!" She instantly replied. Thats my girl. Always replies fast. "How am I doing?" "Perfect! You're going well on turns!" Faith said. "Vroom vroom my lovely. Vroom vroom." I said to make her smile. I know she's smiling under that microphone. Anyways.... I really like to say this word. "Lando.. problem." "What's up Will??" "Max is right behind you.. So you better accelerate fast!" Oh heck no! I'm not gonna let him overtake this McLaren if it's the last thing I do. DRS will save me for sure. Okay, We are at around lap 52 which is good. Charles is still dominating this and will finally win in his own home. This will be fun. Another podium to the many.. Carlos is just hanging out with me while we're driving down this road....

(Carlos' POV)

Okay this isn't as bad at all. Being second place and a double Ferrari win before I leave. I don't know which team I might drive for next. I love Ferrari with all my heart. I can't even believe they did this to me.. "Carlos? Are you good mate? You haven't talked at all for the past 3 minutes which isn't normal." "I'm fine don't worry Riccardo. How many laps?" "Last 10 laps" "Thanks!" Anyways... how about Leah. She's pretty and I'm starting to feel something. Okay okay. Back to racing. Charles is speeding so much to hurry this up. He's dominated this for the whole race which has been a blast. I'm still thinking about what to say at the end of the season. I've written around 100 words for now but im still processing more words as the year goes on. THE LAST 5 LAPS FOR THE MONACO GRAND PRIX! CHARLES IS REALLY SPEEDING UP THIS AS THEY RUN FOR THE PODIUM TOGETHER!... AS THEY TURN ALL AFTER EACH OTHER AND WOAH! ZHOU HITS A BARRIER AND SPINS TO ANOTHER WALL. SUCH BAD LUCK FOR HIM. IN THE LAST LAPS.

Okay.. it's soon time. Charles is speeding up more and more and so will I.. AND CHARLES IS SEEING THE CHECKERED FLAG AS HE WAVES HIS HAND IN THE AIR! WONDERFUL PODIUM FOR THE MONEGASQUE AS HIS TEAMMATE IS RIGHT BEHIND HIM. LANDO ALSO RIGHT BEHIND THEM AS THEY ALL WILL CELEBRATE THIS TOGETHER.. CHARLES' RADIO PLEASE!

Ferrari Engineer : GET IN THERE CHARLES! WELL DONE MATE!
Charles : LETS GOO! GRAZIE AMICI! GRAZIE!

WONDERFUL PODIUM! LETS GO CHARLES WE ALL WON IT TOGETHER!..I got off of the car as I went to high five Charles and congratulate him. Lando came right after while Charles went to celebrate near Monique between the barriers. Lando and I went near Faith and Leah. Lando instantly hugged Faith and kissed her whilst I went and high fived Leah. They started to interview us and then we went to the cooling room before the podiums...
