their number one,
the perfect child,
the golden sun.The peak of achievement,
all that can be won,
should be found in the rays,
of the golden sun.I've always been,
a course not worth taking,
a heart made for breaking,
a child not worth making.I'll always be,
no one's number one,
forever in the shadows,
of their golden son.------------------
This one was kind of meant to be read out loud because "son" and "sun" sound the same but have a different meaning, and this poem talks about both.
In terms of a metaphor, it's about one person comparing themselves to another person that shines so bright that you find yourself standing in their shadow.
In terms of what it means to me personally...I think you already know who I wrote this about lol
