Butterflies 🦋☁️

The golden cage in my stomach sealed with a lock and key
It fills up with butterflies each time you look at me

I've tried so many times, to shoo them away,
But it feels like the butterflies are always here to stay

Sometimes they come out of my mouth, jumbled words I later regret
Stupid words, nothing words, that of course you'll soon forget.

I could know just what you think of me, if I had the key to your mind,
But something always tells me, I wouldn't like what I'd find

I'm giving you the key, presenting it on a silver platter
Open up the cage and let the butterflies scatter

We could be friends or maybe much more,
Regardless,
You're the one that I adore. <3

EWEWWEWWWW CORNYYYY
The only love poem I've ever written and yes it was written about someone specific, and I hope that someone never ever reads this nor talks to me ever again.
