Chapter 7 - Koko

Riot

"Nurse Poppy, are you alright?" Two soldiers had entered the room while me and my crew were hidden throughout it. Njord took the simple hideout that was under the bed. Both of my chefs hid above at the hallowed roof leaving enough space for the two of them. I simply hid in a closet that had its door slightly ajar so I could see what was going on.

"Yes I'm fine. Thank you for checking on me. But what is going on?" The doctor plays a fool of what is happening to gain the marine's trust.

"We noticed earlier that those damn pirates we captured yesterday are gone. Their boat is still here meaning they're still on the island and we wanted to make sure our nurse is safe" The two bows with rosy cheeks. I soon enough understood that people generally have a thing for Poppy- a beautiful woman but not my type.

"Well while we are here... you don't mind checking on me would you?" My gag reflexes were triggered at the awful attempt of flirting. Not even Taiyō was that bad. The large man was bold enough to take a step closer towards the doctor who was visibly uncomfortable.

"Ack-"

"M-Marcus! Ack-" Taiyō had attacked from above, knowing both soldiers out with a simple hand chop to the neck.

"Yo you attacked too early-" I pointed out while getting out of the tight closet.

"Sorry couldn't watch those dummies try to get their hands on Poppy" This only made Poppy chuckle at Taiyō's gesture to protect her. I still couldn't believe their stupid moves sorta worked. Bajiru was quick to land on the floor and bind the marines with a rope in case they woke up again.

"I assume we will have to defeat the marine captain of this island?"

"Correct, Bajiru. His name is Jack the spinner"

"The what now-" We didn't get the time to question the god awful name before more marines found us in the medical room which had the door wide open.

"Negatibu Horō!" A ghost was generated and shot towards the soldiers who were sent flying down the stairs again.

"Let's go and beat some asses!" I looked around the room to see an empty metal tray on the desk. I took it and placed it on the edge of the downward staircase.

"Let's GOOOOOOOOOO!" Stepping onto the tray then putting a slight weight on the front lets me skate down the stairs with incredible speed thanks to the metal tray gliding "smoothly" down the stairs. I even got to knock out some marines on the way by simply reaching my arms out to let the marines crash into them! When reaching the bottom I had taken down around 8 marines with me who were knocked out from the crash and fall.

"Hehe, easy peasy!"

"Such a messy fighter. But I should expect as much from my captain" I heard Taiyō's voice as the rest of the group descended from the watchtower.

"Poppy! Where is that captain Jack the spinner-"

"You won't get to our Captain! Foolish pirates!" Before we could take any course of action, more marine soldiers had arrived in an attempt to apprehend all of us.

"We don't have time for you" The soft shaped chef takes a step forward, crossing their arms to summon arms on the soldiers, forcing them into uncomfortable positions to the point of breaking several bones in the process. the arms disappear and the leftover of the marines falls to the ground.
