Unveiled

At least in the morning I allowed my worried nurse to stuff me with breakfast as you can't focus properly with an empty stomach and I refused to fail this plan. My two chefs had gone ahead to fetch the coal they had hidden not too far from the hotel we stayed at and to scout ahead at the town hall building to see where the mayor was.

"So after we burn down the thing we sprint to our current ship and sail to another island to find a shipwright?" Njord spoke quietly to not worry the people around us.

"I believe that's the plan for now" Poppy agreed and my nod of approval emphasized that. Bajiru had shown the fastest route to our boat that didn't need to involve running through the whole town ultimately getting to the docks faster and preventing drawing attention. They were very thorough with their plans!

After breakfast we met up with my two chefs who would lead the way to the town hall. Stopping nearby where trees were abundant so we could take shade and cover so no one would find our presence suspicious.
There were several sacks of coal around us needed for our arson.

"Taiyō will spread the coal around the mansion and everyone else will make sure everything is locked up except for the back door which we will escape and cover so the Mayor can't escape" Bajiru repeated the plans and everyone nodded signaling that we all understood our roles and job.

"Time to get a move on" Taiyō closes their eyes, crossing their arms in their signature pose as arms sprout from the ground and continue towards the government facility. With swift motions the hand starts carrying the sack of coals towards the nearby building. The rest of us grabbed some coal too to speed up the process and rushed into the town hall as sneaky as possible. In there we poured the coal and ashes on any surface we could see. Floor, shelves, chairs, nothing was safe.
Despite the building being of importance, it seemed rather old. Probably in need of renovating but that didn't matter when we would burn it down. As the wooden floors creak when running around, the planks underneath my foot gave in and I fell to the level below.

"Ow! What the hell?! I knew this place was shitty but not this shitty-" As I stood up to brush dust away from my dress, I realized I was standing in a dimly lit room with several men dressed in fancy clothing that signified their wealth. My attention was drawn to the man who sat at the desk in the opposite end of the room from where I stood. It was safe to assume he was the mayor.

"Hmm so the rumors were true. Some naive pirates would raid our town hall and attempt to attack me. Maybe having our morning meeting here instead was a smart idea" The man spoke with a firm voice with a hint of annoyance.

"You must be the mayor. You're the reason why my friend died!" I shouted at him which only made him chuckle.

"Friend? Hm I was so sure she only had her brother. I digress" The mayor stands up revealing that he was not as tall as I expected. He probably wasn't too far from my own height!
He walked around the desk, his stands wide and his arms behind his back.

"Seeing that the rumors are true I'll have no other choice but to eliminate you" The other men who stood against the wall started to walk forward, to corner me but I would not budge!

The first man pulled out a scimitar in an attempt to cut me down but with a simple step back I avoided it completely, leaving the scimitar user open for an attack in which I took the opportunity to kick his shoulder and fall to the floor due to losing balance. It was obvious that these rich men had not fought a lot in their days as I didn't even need to use my ghosts to defeat them!
