A group of soldiers made the mistake of trying to surround me mid-running. The marines thought they would perform a big brain move by attacking me at the same time from all directions but I simply jumped up to avoid the commotion causing the marines to simply crash into each other. To make it even worse for the poor bastards, I generated a big ghost from underneath that exploded onto the soldiers and propelled me forward so I could continue to find the rest of my crew members.

When arriving at an open field I spotted both my chefs struggling to keep up with a man with a sword that was long and broad. It didn't look usable at all! But even then it was apparent that the larger man had the upper hand. Taiyō was on their knees, staring at their arms with several open cut wounds. Bajiru stood in the way to protect their sibling, daggers tightly grip in the younger chef's hand to be prepared for any incoming attacks.

"Taiyō! Bajiru!" I shouted at the top of my lungs as the rest of us made it to the chefs. Even Poppy was concerned with so many injuries endured and she was quick to check up on the smaller chef.

"What happened to you?!"

"It's not easy... to capture someone holding something so sharp..." I could connect the dots that when Taiyō tries to use their devil fruit power on the swordsman, he would simply use his blade to cut the limbs so it transfers to the original user. But my friend was practically stunned in place, unable to move and only stares into their hands covered in cuts.

"Taiyō, focus on my voice" Poppo suddenly spoke as she immediately went to work to treat my chef's wounds. I thanked the medic for caring about my crewmate and my gaze shifted to the man who had hurt my friend. The marine captain with a greatsword. His scarred face couldn't even hide the ego in his eyes, thinking that we were nothing but bugs.

"So you're that damn pirate girl who is defeating my good for nothing lackeys?" His deep grumbling voice gave a chilling intimidation even to his own soldiers. Not me though. No broad chested mofo would be able to intimidate me, the future pirate king.

"Yep! And you're going down next!" I pointed at him as a small ghost generated from my body to settle on my shoulder. Little Obake.

"Hmph. Seeing a twerp like you makes me consider upgrading my marine soldier's training if they can't defeat someone like you"

"I'd give them some slack. They were getting their ass kicked by the future pirate king!" Usually, silences are followed by my words but this time someone actually laughed immediately.

"You? A Pirate king? You barely know the danger of the grand line... pirates from there would swallow you whole like a snack. You silly top hat pirates wouldn't make an hour there" The captain readied with his sword signaling the battle would start soon so I walked forward with my ghosts, ready to fight. I took notice of how unusual his great sword looked. It came in a dark teal blue and it didn't look like it was made of metal at all!

I found out how the Captain for the moniker of "Jack the spinner" as I watched the man spinning with his whole body, blade outstretched to become a deadly razor tornado of some sort. Not only that but his head didn't spin! It stayed in place! Letting him keep his focus on his target. Me!

"What the-" in a rush of panic, I attempted to summon several of my negative hollows in hopes to drain his energy from fighting but my ghosts only popped like balloons when coming into contact with the sword! I had no choice but to roll over to my left to avoid the attack.

I glanced back just to see the captain's head turning to me again and the spinning attack continued my way. I had to be on the move!
I couldn't make sense of how that man did not break his neck while doing the spinning motion!
