-------"Hey...hey Clover."
"What?"
"Damn, what's with the attitude?"
The seventeen year old turned her attention from her vanity mirror and over towards the two boys that stood in the frame of her door way.
They were in their usual dark clothes.
Fresh pairs of Nike shoes feet their feet and both their hats were turned to the back.
"I said what?" she repeated.
"We headin out ugly. Want anything while we out?"
She shook her head.
"Naw."
"Sure?"
"Positive."
"Well you still ain't tell me whatcha problem was."
He knew what the problem was.
He always knew what the problem was whenever he visited since moving out, but he had also made himself apart of the problem as well.
The fact he was even still talking to her as if he hadn't done anything didn't really surprise her.
She'd grown past the point of numb when it came to men.
She just never thought he would do it.
"You got another date?"
She looked at him blankly now.
"What do you think?"
Both the boys fell silent, as light footsteps filled the space.
"Damas!" She yelled, despite being just a few feet towards them.
"Yo."
"Ya'll leavin now?"
"Yeah, we some new work coming in," he answered, as the woman stood in front of them now.
"Ya'll got ya'll shit?" she questioned next, referring to their firearms.
"Of course. Neva without it."
She chucked a little before turning her attention towards her granddaughter.
She was back turned towards her mirror, carefully placing shimmery, pink colored lip gloss across her lips.
"Damn. Doesn't she look beautiful?" she questioned sarcastically.
"Yeah, she do. She acting funky right now though Alisa," Damas said, glancing back at the teen.
