{THE PAST}
Scene 1:-
Sanchi :
Atharv, your friends are not good for you.
Atharv :
Sanchi, we had this discussion.
Sanchi :
I know... but they are not genuine. They use you or approach you only when they have some work. They don't care about you at all. They hardly talk to you about any plan they make and then expect you to follow their lead and when you don't then they make you the bad guy.
Atharv :
Calm down butterfly.
Sanchi :
Don't butterfly me. You know this yourself. They have never done a single thing for you while enjoying everything you do for them. They are selfish.
Atharv :
They invited me to the last birthday party.
Sanchi :
Ohh! the same one where you were invited in the middle of the party when everyone was eating. You hardly ate anything and then you had to contribute equally sorry, sorry for two people because the birthday boy is not allowed to pay. Also to jog your memory they didn't invite you earlier because it slipped out of their mind even though you wished him that day earlier when everyone was present.
Atharv (sighing):
Butterfly...
Sanchi :
I can recite more than thirty such incidents. If they genuinely cared for you I would have never interfered.
I know male friendships are different but those people are not your friends.
They just use you as a leverage.
Atharv :
Okay I am sorry.
Sanchi :
Do you know what you are sorry for?
Atharv :
For giving explanations about them even though they are wrong.
Sanchi :
Atharv, I know you are very sweet and you don't find any flaws in others but not everyone deserves kindness. Some people should receive what they give. Some are toxic beyond repair.
Atharv :
Sooooo I am sweet.
Sanchi :
You just caught this line?
Atharv :
I like it when you care for me and I love it when you are protective about me.
Sanchi :
You are like an innocent calf who thinks the whole world is pure like you and if anyone is doing something wrong then that person must have suffered severely before.
I wonder how you will manage in the future.
Atharv :
Stop scolding me now and I have you so no worries.
Sanchi :
Seriously Atharv !? I am with you now but we can't predict the future, what if
Atharv :
Hey stop. Don't say such things.
(A subtle silence)
Atharv :
Had your dinner?
Sanchi :
No, what about hey mumma is calling for dinner I'll call you after that. Bye.
And the call disconnected.
About an hour later Sanchi called Atharv.
Sanchi :
Hi
Atharv :
Hmm
Sanchi :
Had dinner?
Atharv :
Just finished it a while ago. So how is Kaikeyi Maa not the villain in Ramayan?
Sanchi :
Are you lying in bed?
Atharv :
Ofcourse, I know I am going to sleep inbetween your story so why bother being awake. It is the best part of my day, sleeping peacefully listening to your spiritual stories.
Sanchi (chuckling):
So, Kaikeyi Maa knew that if someone would sit on the throne of Ayodhya at that time when Shri Ram's rajabhishek was declared then that person would soon meet his end as told by a guru to her. The throne of Ayodhya was cursed for 14 years from that time. That is why Kaikeyi Maa asked one wish to send Shri Ram on vanvas for 14 years and for another she asked the throne for his son, Bharat because she knew that his son would never take his beloved brother Shri Ram's things or rights.
Atharv :
I thought she was the villain.
Sanchi :
Now you know she was not. It was needed at that time but every action has an equal and opposite reaction. She was the cause for Kaushalya Maa's grief, her being away from her son for 14 years so in the next avatar, during dwapar yug when Shri Narayan was born as Lord Krishna
he spent his first fourteen years with Yashoda Maa who was Kaushalya Maa in previous yug and after that he went to release his birth mother Devki Maa who was actually Kaikeyi Maa in her previous yug.
Atharv yawned, closing his eyes and after few minutes his breathing became soft indicating he is almost asleep.
Sanchi murmured a soft good night and disconnected the call.
This was their daily routine nowadays ; calling at night when they both know that the other person would be free from their schedule and studies, sharing few things about their day, her telling him one or another spiritual story and him falling asleep inbetween her stories.

Scene 2 :-
Atharv :
Hey !
Sanchi :
Hi, can I call you later? Mumma is crying.
Atharv :
Oh okay.
After a while.
Sanchi :
Hi !
Atharv :
Hey, how is aunty? What happened to her?
Sanchi :
Nothing much. She was watching Vivah and everytime the fire incident is telecast she cries.
Atharv :
Oh.
Sanchi :
Ya
Atharv :
She is ....cute.
Sanchi release a hearty laugh saying she is.
Atharv :
Does she like Vivah a lot?
Sanchi :
It's her favourite movie.
Atharv :
What about you? What is your favourite movie?
Sanchi :
I think Khiladi 786 no no no Rowdy Rathore or wait Ready is also there.
Atharv chuckles and he hears, It's difficult okay, all the three movies are amazing.
Atharv :
I agree.
Sanchi :
You tell me.
Atharv :
Rowdy Rathore
Sanchi :
Why? Because it has Sonakshi Sinha?
Atharv :
The movie is actually good.
Sanchi :
Hmm hmm, Sonakshi Sinha in red saree na.
Atharv :
Butterfly yaar, she was really looking very pretty in it, you yourself said that once.
Sanchi :
I have said many things but I don't think you remember all of them like this statement.
Atharv :
Arey yaar...

Scene 3 :-
Atharv :
So that boy was apparently high on something and our mathematics teacher, the one who looks like a wrestler caught him because instead of saying good morning sir he said good morning double decker. Double decker is the name given to him by the frustrated students.
Sanchi burst into laughter asking and then.
Atharv :
And then what, he got suspended.
Sanchi :
Fair enough but your maths teacher didn't say anything about the nickname?
Atharv :
He was furious but he can't do anything to ninety students who all claimed that they were hearing the word for the first time in their life.
Sanchi again burst into laughter and Atharv joined her.
