Waited For You

Chapter 15

At Atharv's Apartment:-

After an exhausting day Atharv came back to his apartment at around 12 o'clock in the midnight and sat lazily on his couch, resting his head against the board of the couch and closing his eyes by his right elbow. The room was dark a few seconds back but now the electric light brightened all the area and forced Atharv to open his eyes. He tiredly removed his hand from his eyes to check the cause for the change in his surrounding and was stunned to see the person in front of him.He stood up in a jolt and checking his wristwatch said,"Sanchi , what are you doing here and at this time?"
Sanchi - " It's been quite late, khana kha lete hai fir baat karte hai. Tum fresh ho jao pehle tab tak khana bhi garam ho jayega."
Atharv nodded unsurely but went inside to do as directed and it was that time when he noticed his apartment properly, the brown boxes were gone and many things were added to the apartment which were his only but were not unpacked, also he has not removed the sheets from few of the already present furnitures but at present the scenario was not the same as he last left.
Sanchi in the meantime went to her apartment, heated the food and came back. She was setting the dining table when Athrav too entered the dining room looking fresh changed in comfy clothes and took his seat. Sanchi then served both of them the food and indicated Atharv to start his meal. Atharv nodded and started having his meal.
Atharv - "Why didn't you eat earlier?"
Sanchi's action haulted but she did not look up from her plate and said, "You owe me something and this is a way of saying thank you to you. I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart but a mere thanks was not enough for what you did so decided to prepare dinner for you and waited for your return but you did not return earlier and without realisation I fell into deep slumber. I woke up half an hour before you returned so that's why I could not have dinner. Now eat I will tell you all the reasons and answers once you finish the dinner."
After this no one spoke until they finished their dinner. When they were done with the food Atharv kept the plates in the sink and returned in the living room with two bowls of ice-cream passing one of it towards Sanchi. She accepted it and said," Thank you so much Atharv".
Atharv - "For?"
Sanchi - "For Anay. I met him today. Thank you for being there for him." and fell silent after that.
Atharv - "Sanchi you should not blame yourself for anything. I believe you had your reasons that time and let me remind you he was,is and will always be an important part of my life. Whatever I did was a normal thing. You would have done the same thing."
Sanchi with a guilty expression- "But I was not there. I was not there with him when he needed me the most. I failed as his angel di."
Atharv - "Would you like to know about him- his likes,dislikes,nature and maybe girlfriends?"
Sanchi with a shock expression, "Girlfriends with an extra s?"
Atharv -"Ofcourse, can't he have them?"
Sanchi -"For sure he can have girlfriend but without an extra s. I missed his crucial years but in this matter I know him more , he is more like a one lady guy."
Atharv -"This much trust? Let's make a bet then ?"
Sanchi -"Bet? Is he really having girlfriends with an extra s?"
Atharv broke into laughter holding his stomach and in between his laughs said,"Look at your face. You look so funny with this expression and no he is not dating anyone."
Sanchi took hold of a pillow from the couch where they were sitting and started hitting Atharv ," You idiot. You scared me."
Atharv while saving himself from the pillow said ," Sorry, sorry, sorry . Sanchi stop or my ice-cream will melt and yours as well."
Sanchi kept the pillow back to its place and began having her ice-cream while listening about Anay from Atharv. They were done with their iceceams and Anay's talk so Sanchi stood up to head back to her place. She was going to move but Atharv's hold on her wrist made her turn towards him. Atharv realised what he did and quickly withdrew his hand and said," Thank you so much for making my house a home."
Sanchi -"Huh!?"
Atharv -"Thank you for unpacking my stuffs."
Sanchi -"O about that. I am sorry I did it without taking your permission actually Anay left your apartment open and I did not had much work so decided to help you. Anay mentioned that you all are working hard these days due to some issue so I thought to settle the things here so that you could be at ease from this side."
Atharv -" I don't mind it at all so no need to say sorry. I am thankful that you did it."
Sanchi -" Ok then bye. Good night."
Atharv murmured "Tum ja rahi ho toh kuch good kaise ho sakta hai."
Sanchi -" Kuch bola tumne?"
Atharv -"Ha good night,bye."
Sanchi turned to move and Atharv followed her. She was about to move open the handle of her apartment but before that turned towards Atharv and said,"Atharv "
Atharv -" Hmm"
" I know work is important but health is more important. Don't skip your meals", said Sanchi and entered her place.
Atharv too came inside his apartment with a big smile and said,"Thank you bhagwan ji for everthing" and had a peaceful sleep that day.

NEXT DAY:-
Around 4 am in the morning.

Atharv was all dressed up in his office attire and was ready to leave for his office. He moved out of his home, locked it and glanced towards Sanchi's door. He mumbled a bye and started descending the stairs but stopped abruptly when he heard his name. He turned towards the source of the voice and froze for a moment but gained his consciousness and said, "Sanchi are you all right? Why are you up so early?"
Sanchi handed the tiffin boxes to Atharv and said, "It has lunch for Anay. You will meet him so please hand it over to him with lots of love."
Atharv nodded and asked, "Anything else?"
Sanchi denied and Atharv said, "It's very early. Yesterday also you slept late. Take rest after this."
Sanchi nodded and said, "I will."
Atharv again started to descend the stairs when he heard, "Have your lunch on time and bring both the tiffin boxes back."
Atharv eyes widened, he looked back and asked, "Did you prepare the lunch for me as well?"
Sanchi said nothing in response and voiced a bye. Atharv did not stretch the thing and moved downstairs while remembering all the gods and thanking them for this beautiful morning and start of his day.
