The Chinese language class was taught by a middle-aged, slightly overweight male teacher with a unique intonation. His tone resembled a roller coaster, fluctuating between slow ascents and sudden descents, captivating the students' attention. As the class progressed, students often found themselves daydreaming.

During these moments, Wen Ai would typically observe Xu Changzhou. Only a narrow aisle separated them, allowing him to catch glimpses of Xu Changzhou's activities.

However, Wen Ai wasn't satisfied with just glimpses. He would stack books unevenly on his desk, creating a makeshift barrier, allowing him to observe Xu Changzhou more discreetly.

Today, Xu Changzhou remains quiet as usual, with an open sketchbook in front of him. His right hand loosely grips a carbon pencil, skillfully changing angles with smooth movements.

Before long, a lively little puppy leaps onto the paper. It hides behind a pile of books, clumsily exposing half of its body. Its round, lively eyes exude a playful charm. One ear droops softly, while the other stands halfway, and its little head tilts in an adorable manner.

Wen Ai stifles a laugh, realizing that beneath Xu Changzhou's composed exterior, he secretly enjoys the antics of this cute little virtual pet. The sudden shift in his inner world is quite amusing.

Haha!

Wen Ai bursts into laughter, shaking his shoulders. The system intervenes, but with an odd tone, as if in a bumpy state: "Stop~ laughing~ I'm~ going~ to~ throw up~."

Wen Ai is startled and quickly stops, asking, "What happened? Don't scare me."

After calming down, the system returns to normal: "Your emotions were too intense just now; the electrical signals from your cerebral cortex almost scattered me! I'm delicate, I need to be treated gently by this world."

Wen Ai stays silent for a moment and responds, "Alright, I'll try to be more gentle in the future.

While he communicated with the system, Xu Changzhou continued refining the sketch with focused eyes, displaying a rare hint of gentleness in his expression. Unfortunately, Wen Ai completely missed it.

The elite school liked to stand out in various aspects, portraying it as innovation, but in simpler terms, it was an attempt to show off. Take physical education classes, for example - the school implemented a course selection system, offering a variety of options from ball sports to gymnastics for students to choose.

During the break, the class monitor distributed a course selection form to each person, asking them to fill it out before class.

Jiang Cheng rummaged through his messy desk for a while, then turned to Wen Ai to borrow a pen. Leaning on Wen Ai's desk, he began filling out the form. With graceful strokes, he wrote his name and casually ticked the box for soccer.

He glanced at Wen Ai's form, asking, "What did you choose? How about joining me for soccer?"

Wen Ai took the pen back from him, saying, "I still need to think about it."

Once Jiang Cheng finished filling out the form, he went to the next class to flirt with girls. Wen Ai stared at his own form, eyes lingering on the options of taekwondo, kickboxing, and judo. In a brief second, he had already imagined hundreds of ways to teach Xu Changzhou a lesson. However, as passionate as his thoughts might be, the crucial factor depended on Xu Changzhou's choice.

Wen Ai tapped the system: "What class did the male lead choose?"

System: "Tennis."

Wen Ai checked the tennis box on the course selection form and placed it on the upper right corner of his desk for the class monitor to collect later.
