Gem and Scar had returned to the dock first with their ribbons, making them, much to the other campers' disappointment, the winners. They had no idea how they'd done it, the two had argued and fought throughout the whole challenge.

At the end of the day though, they were cousins, and as Gem would say, they "Tolerated each other". Skizz and Impulse were the last pair to return to the dock, both boys soaking wet and more than annoyed, glaring daggers at Lizzie and BigB. Nobody asked what happened, in a silent agreement to wait until the two had calmed down.

"Congratulations to Scar and Gem on winning the first challenge!" The shorter leader grinned enthusiastically. "You will need to keep those ribbons, and stay with your pairs for the remaining challenges! I'd recommend tying yout ribbon to yourself so you don't lose it!" At this, Ren grabbed Doc's ribbon off from him, standing on his toes to reach up and tie the dark green ribbon around one of Doc's goatlike horns. The other campers began to do the same, trying ribbons around their hair, tails or wrists.

They all had 20 minutes of free time before their next challenge, so everyone was scattered around the campsite, talking and playing games.

"Jimmy, can we talk for a minute?" Scott pulled on the blonde's sleeve to get his attention as he talked to Joel and Lizzie.
"Oh, yeah sure! What's up?" Jimmy asked, turning away from his conversation with his two other friends.
"Like, a bit more in private maybe?" The taller boy asked quietly, grabbing Jimmy's hand and leading him back behind one of the cabins.

"I'm sorry about last night," Scott started.
"What, why?" Jimmy asked, confused.
"Well, I woke you up and you felt like you had to stay with me!" He explained, sounding annoyed at himself.
"Scott... I didn't stay because I felt like I had to. If I didn't want to stay I would've gone right back to bed!" The shorter boy tilted his head up to meet Scott's eyes. Jimmy gasped as Scott suddenly pulled him into a tight hug, not hesitating to hug back as the taller boy's arms wrapped around him.

"Why did you stay then?"

"You were there... to me, there would've been no better place to stay."

Okay, so
I've been gone for a while, sorry-
I got really sick for a while, and school's been busy and all that, but I'm hoping to get back into writing!

Have some flower husbands crumbs as an apology :]
