Ren's POV:

We lay next to each other breathing a bit heavy. I kiss his forehead softly before standing up and putting my boxers on. "I should probably escape your room before Darrell gets up." He nods, still out of breath.

I smile, giving him one last kiss before slipping out of his room. God that boy is going to drive me crazy and oh how he knows it. I decide to go to the kitchen, another beer couldn't hurt. "Late night?" Sarah smirks over a cup of coffee. I look at her and laugh, "Amazing morning." She laughs over her cup of coffee.

"Don't hurt the poor thing Remington. He likes you. He looks at you differently. Different from Cole even. He's sweet." I take a long drink from my fresh mug of coffee. "I won't force him into anything and his best friend is my little brother Sarah. It's his move from here on out." She nods softly and sighs.

"He won't do it. He won't jeopardize his friendship with your brother. He and your brother are close, yes but Darrell needs to understand that you and Aspen are closer in age than Darrell and him." I start to walk away, "This isn't a conversation I'd like to continue, Sarah." She rolls her eyes and scoffs, "Can't run from it!" I turn with a smirk. "Oh yes I can."

Cole is still in my bed as I start to get dressed. He slowly wakes up as I'm putting on a pair of joggers. "Going somewhere, handsome?" I smile and shake my head. "Didn't think I should walk around with only boxers on." He laughs as he walks over and takes a sip of my coffee. "Aspen was looking for you."

I smile at the thought. "I know. I got my beer from him." He nods as Darrell barges in, pulling Sarah with him. "We should all hangout today." He blurts out before I can even ask him what he wants to do today. I let out a small laugh. "Okay Dare. Go get Aspen and we will all hangout today in the living room.

He jumps with joy as he starts running around, herding everyone as if they were sheep. We all sit down and Cole sits next to me as Aspen sits between my legs. Sarah smirks at the 2 boys as I'm panicking in my mind. "Movies? Games? What we thinking?"

I laugh softly at his excitement. "How about all of the above?" His eyes light up with excitement as he starts jumping around. "Games first." He nods and throws in a game before handing Sarah a controller. They might as well be siblings with how competitive they are with each other.

I watch as everyone plays. I just decided to snack and drink. My mind is everywhere. I have 2 stunning men sitting around me and both want me. I am truly lost for words in this situation. "Ren, why don't you have a go?" I shake my head with a smile. "I had a late night and an early morning. I'll pass." I can see majority of the room smirk as Darrell and Nova look confused.

As the day flies away I stand up and stretch. "We all need to get going since we got school tomorrow." Everyone seems displeased at the thought. "I'll take the 2 youngins and Cole will take Nova." Everyone nods as we separate to collect our things. As Cole starts to walk away I grab his arm. "We need to talk." He nods with a smile.

Everyone clears out and he looks at me with hopeful eyes. "What's up Ren?" I take a deep breath and begin to mess with my hands. "I have feelings for another person. Not just you." I watch the smile slowly fade off his face. Tears start to fill his eyes as he runs off.

I hang my head as I feel guilt build within me. I get dressed and wait at the truck, my stuff already in the back. The boys jump in my truck as I watch Cole and Nova load into his car. Nova has a face of relief yet guilt as they drive off. "She found out." I hear Sarah say at my window.

"I told him the truth. I just hope this doesn't break up the group." I tighten the grip on my steering wheel. "That's all you can do now, Ren. Hope." I nod before driving off with the boys. Today was one of the best and worst days I've had in a while. And it's my fault.

We get to my house and we all unload. Jennifer's car is gone when we pull in. Thank the lord above. Holly is supposed to come over anyways to bring me some more of my mother's things since Jennifer had them banished from the house. That woman is horrid.

I start to unpack as I'm lost in my thoughts. Was I selfish in making my decisions? Is he selfish for acting that way? Every possible answer I come to one conclusion. No matter what way I look at it, I am confused. Who is in the wrong? What could have been done to prevent all of this?

I'm finally snapped out of my endless black hole of thoughts by my father. "Son did you hear a damn word of what I said?" My head snaps in his direction. "I'm sorry. I was lost in thought." He laughs softly and shakes his head. "Just like your mother. Anyways, Holly said she should be here in about an hour. Be ready to welcome her. Jennifer will be here by then." I roll my eyes as my father crosses his arms.

"You may not like her but in front of Holly play nice." I mock him a bit as he walks away. Play nice? With that woman? Impossible. Respect is earned not given and she hasn't earned a lick of respect from me. I finish up unpacking as I hear a soft knock on my door. As I turn I find Darrell being the culprit. "What can I do for you pipsqueak?"

He gives me a glare as he sticks his tongue out before softening his expression. "I was wondering if you could tell me about your mother. You know, like what happened to her and some things you remember about her." My jaw practically drops as I stare at him standing at my door. Is he really asking about my mother right now?
