Chapter 8 - Unbreakable Bonds

Spring has come to Japan and cherry blossoms bloomed everywhere. Today was the perfect to go outside and have a great picnic.

Wataru was excited for this chance since it was his idea in the first place. Also, it was a great chance to have a family get together. 

I chose to make brownies again since everyone enjoyed them for Subaru's birthday.

For the occasion, I did my own hair this time by making it into a ponytail with a hair tie and I chose to wear a bright colored dress with a light jacket and sandals.

We all met in front of the house and headed towards the park. Since Subaru didn't come home yet, Tsubaki left a note on the door to say where we went.

I believed that it was a bad idea and chose to take a picture of what he left on the door and I sent it to Subaru before we left.

Once we arrived, we sat in a perfect place where the cherry blossom petals were falling beautifully and the sky was great. There were families and friends all around us, having a great time making the atmosphere lively and cheerful.

Tsubaki had a bit too much to drink and started to sing in front of a bunch of girls who were friends.

I placed a hand on my face, "Oh my gosh..."

"That's Tsubaki for you," a voice spoke as Natsume approached us.

"Oh, Natsume," I replied as he smiled and sat down with us.

"It was nice of you to join us, Natsume," Masaomi spoke with a smile.

"Well, a specific someone didn't allow me to say a single answer," his gaze fell upon Tsubaki who was enjoying himself. He closed his eyes and exhaled.

I smiled as I took a container of brownies and held them in front of his sight. His eyes shot up as he noticed it.

"Brownies. I made them for Subaru's birthday, but you weren't there. So, I decided to make them for today Now you can try them for yourself!", I said cheerfully.

"Go ahead, big brother! Take one!", Wataru added.

He took one and took a bite, "It's great."

"Yay! Thank you! I'm glad!"

He smiled at me as my phone made a sound, "Excuse me," I spoke as I found a text from Subaru.

Got your message. Thank you for texting me before I ended up at home. See you - Subaru

I put my phone away and looked at Masaomi, "Subaru's on his way."

"Great," Masaomi replied.

We continued to eat and have fun as I decided to take more pictures by walking around, observing the beautiful scenery.

I stood before a railing and took a picture of a duck that was on the water, then a voice was heard behind me, "Naomi?"

I turned around and saw Subaru, "Subaru! You made it!"

"Yeah, I did. I got one of your brownies and it was delicious as usual. Everyone told me that you were walking around to take pictures, so I thought I would find you."

"Well, you found me."

"Yeah."

I looked back at the scenery, "This is truly a beautiful park. I never saw anything like it."

"You must have taken great pictures right?"

"Yeah. Here," I held my camera and showed him the pictures I already took.
