"If you love someone truly, you will let them go..."

~~~
Arthur paced up and down his father's chambers. He had heard from one of the maids that his father had something very important to talk about. But what could it be? Many possibilities played out in his mind. Did he do anything wrong? Not that he could recall. Was he finally going to get a responsibility to help his country? He sure hoped so! No.. keep dreaming, Arthur. Okay, then was he going to get married? WAIT, WHAT WAS HE THINKING? He was only 15.. he couldn't be. You had to be 18 to get married, right? He sure hoped so and his father... well, they both loved each other very much, he wouldn't do that to him.
"Come in, Arthur."
He opened the grand door leading to his father's massive chambers. Fifteen years and yet, he reacted the same he did ten years ago. In awe.
"You might be wondering why I called you here.."
Arthur snapped out of his daze and replied, "Yes, yes I was, Father."
"I have some very good news for you!"
"You do?"
"Yes, you're getting married!"
"What."
It seemed the whole world started to close around Arthur. The trust he had for his father. That he wouldn't marry him off so early. That he would spend more time with his family, his brothers, his father. Well, not anymore. And... what about Francis? His love. His one and only true love.
Flashback to a week ago
The telephone rang in Arthur's chambers and he quickly skipped towards it, knowing who was calling him today.
"Hello Francis!"
"Bonjour mon amour!"
"You have got to teach me French once."
"I will soon, once we get married."
"In your dreams, our countries and parents barely get along!"
"We could change that?"
"Yeah, yeah. What did you call for, anyways?"
"Is there a reason for me to call you, mon cher?"
"Francis."
"Alright, alright! I have good news!"
"Really?"
"Yes! My father said that I will be able to pick my own husband or wife!"
"What? Really? What did you do to make him so generous?"
"Cook amazing food."
"Wow."
"Bet you can't cook as amazing as me!"
"Oh shut up you bloody frog! Who said I can't!"
"Not very princely of you, non?"
"Whatever."
"Don't worry mon amour, I will wait until you and I are mature, it's not very moral to do so otherwise."
"Wow! I really found myself a moral gentleman!"
"Indeed you did!"
...
"How do you know my father will agree?"
